Vauxhall is launching ‘Brit’s What We Do’, a new campaign celebrating the brand’s British roots and the people, places, and everyday moments that make up life in Britain.
Born in Britain in 1857, Vauxhall is the longest-running vehicle manufacturer continually producing vehicles in the UK, with its first single-cylinder, 5-horsepower car built in 1903. From providing practical, affordable mobility for families and businesses to supporting communities across the country, Vauxhall has been helping people move for more than 120 years, becoming part of the fabric of the nation.
The ’Brit’s What We Do’ campaign celebrates the resilience, humour, and determination of the British public, recognising the familiar moments and shared experiences that bring people together. The campaign platform will provide a consistent thread across Vauxhall communications, reflecting Vauxhall’s longstanding connection to Britain and its commitment to keeping mobility accessible and affordable.
Launching on 2nd November across video-on-demand and social media, the campaign features 60- and 30-second films showcasing Vauxhall cars and vans in familiar British settings. From the morning school run and the lollipop person to a playful reference to the cryptid Loch Ness Monster, the films bring recognisable moments of British life to the screen.
Vauxhall offers a range of electric, hybrid and traditionally powered cars and vans, providing practical and affordable mobility for UK drivers, families, and businesses. Vauxhall is determined to electrify Britain - since 2021, Vauxhall has offered an electric version of every van in its line-up, followed by an electric version of every car model from 2024.
British manufacturing is also central to the campaign. The 60-second film features the Combo Electric van, built at the Ellesmere Port plant in Cheshire, the UK’s first EV-only volume manufacturing plant. The Combo Electric proudly features the official ‘Made in Britain’ trademark on the rear of the van, as Vauxhall renews its partnership with the trade organisation, demonstrating the brand’s continued investment in Britain’s automotive future.
Vauxhall’s partnership with Team GB, supporting athletes as official automotive partner as they prepare for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, also features in the campaign, with ambassadors Caden Cunningham (taekwondo), Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix (diving), Emma Finucane MBE (track cycling), and Jake Jarman (gymnastics) appearing in the creative. Their determination, commitment and perseverance reflect the qualities celebrated throughout the campaign and shared by the wider British public.
Clare White, Vauxhall Marketing Director, said: “Vauxhall was born in Britain and has been mobilising the nation for more than 120 years. ’Brit’s What We Do’ celebrates our British roots and our loyal customers, recognising the resilience, humour, and determination that are part of everyday life across the country. At the heart of what we do is a commitment to making mobility practical and affordable, while continuing to invest in British manufacturing and the future of the automotive industry in the UK.”
‘Brit’s What We Do’ marks a new chapter for Vauxhall, following the introduction of the new Griffin emblem. As a long-term creative platform, the campaign will continue to celebrate British identity, the communities Vauxhall serves, and the role of accessible, affordable mobility in modern Britain.

ABOUT VAUXHALL MOTORS
Vauxhall Motors started making cars in the UK in 1903. Today, as the oldest and most familiar of Britain’s automotive manufacturers, its philosophy is to build vehicles that are relevant to all and offer design, high levels of equipment and technology, and electrification at an attainable level. Vauxhall is one of few automotive brands to produce electric vehicles in Britain at its manufacturing plant in Ellesmere Port – the UK’s first electric-only manufacturing plant where the Combo Electric van is made. Vauxhall’s Electric Streets of Britain campaign raises the profile of the need for more on-street electric vehicle charging so that everyone can benefit from the switch to electric.
