Vauxhall is offering customers even greater choice while offering a new access point to the Frontera range with the introduction of a new 1.2-litre petrol powertrain, complete with a six-speed manual transmission.
The efficient turbocharged 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine produces 100PS and 205Nm of torque and returns an economical 47.1mpg (WLTP combined). The Frontera petrol accelerates from 0-62mph in 12.4 seconds in five-seat form, extending to 13.3 seconds in seven-seat form.
The rugged family SUV, which is already available in electric and 48V hybrid versions, now comes with a petrol powertrain offering a new, even lower, entry point to the Frontera range, with prices starting from just £22,820 OTR.
Across all powertrains, the Vauxhall Frontera has been engineered to deliver a comfortable ride and a well-equipped driver and passenger experience. The space and versatility on offer are reflected by the fact that the Frontera comes with the option of a third row of seats on GS and Ultimate versions, costing £550, giving capacity for seven occupants and, in doing so, making it the most compact seven-seater on the market.
The Frontera range comes with an easy-to-navigate trim line-up that has been designed to simplify the customer buying experience. With three generously equipped specification levels – Design, GS, and Ultimate – Frontera petrol customers have greater choice and flexibility across all trims.
Design
Starting at £22,820 OTR, the new entry point to the Frontera range is extremely well equipped, bringing all the essentials that drivers and passengers expect at an appealing price. Highlights include 17-inch alloy wheels, a 10-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay™/Android Auto™, electronic climate control, Intelli-LED headlights, and driver aids such as a rear-view camera, cruise control, and speed sign recognition.
GS
At £25,220 OTR, moving up a grade to GS injects a more dynamic flavour into the Frontera, inside and out, with an array of extra features and technology that help it stand out further. Key additions include a gloss black roof and matching gloss black wing mirrors, the ergonomically designed Intelli-Seats for the driver and front passenger, satellite navigation, a wireless phone charger, and added driver aids such as blind spot alert.
Ultimate
For £26,020 OTR, the top-spec Ultimate versions enhance the car even further, offering everything owners could want from their Frontera. A heated windscreen, heated steering wheel, and heated front seats are included, along with high-gloss black roof rails and LED front fog lamps.
The Frontera was the first model in the UK to achieve price parity between the electric version and the hybrid, which has been further reinforced with the Frontera Electric now starting from a lower on-the-road price than the hybrid thanks to the application of the Government’s Electric Car Grant. Offering exceptional value across the Frontera range, the Frontera Electric, with the Electric Car Grant applied, is only £475 more than the petrol entry version.
Orders for the Frontera 100PS 1.2 Turbo petrol are open now. For the latest pricing and comprehensive specifications for the Frontera line-up, please visit here.
