Terms of Use

Last updated: 16 October 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Auto Press Hub website at autopresshub.co.uk (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. About Auto Press Hub

Auto Press Hub publishes automotive press releases: releases gathered from the media sites that UK vehicle manufacturers publish for journalists, and releases submitted directly by manufacturers, PR agencies and suppliers. The Site also provides an events calendar, a press contacts directory, an image gallery, a jobs board, press-vehicle requests and a newsletter.

2. Use of the Site

2.1 Permitted Use

You may use the Site to browse, read, and search press releases and other content for professional and personal purposes. The Site is free to access and does not require registration for core features.

2.2 Prohibited Use

You must not:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site, its servers, or connected systems
  • Use automated tools, bots, scrapers, or crawlers to extract data from the Site, except standard search engine crawlers. We monitor for automated extraction and may limit or block access where we detect it
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Site's operation, performance, or security
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
  • Use the Site to send unsolicited communications (spam)
  • Copy, scrape or redistribute the Site's own material — its design, database, directories, listings or newsletter — in bulk or systematically, or to build a competing service, without our permission. Using individual press releases in your own reporting is what the Site is for; the terms of that use are set by the rights holder (Section 6.2).

3. Accounts and Registration

3.1 Submitter Accounts

Certain features, such as article submission, require registration. When you register, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

3.2 Account Approval

Submitter accounts are subject to approval. We may reject, suspend or close an account where we reasonably consider it is in breach of these Terms, the Article Submission Terms or the Editorial Guidelines, or where we reasonably suspect fraud or impersonation. We will tell you why unless the law or an investigation prevents it.

3.3 Account Termination

You may request account deletion at any time by contacting us at contact@autopresshub.co.uk. We will process your request within 30 days, subject to any legal retention requirements.

4. Article Submission

4.1 Submission Terms

If you submit articles through the Site, you represent and warrant that:

  • You have the right and authority to submit the content
  • The content is accurate, not misleading, and does not infringe any third-party rights
  • The content does not contain defamatory, obscene, or unlawful material
  • You have obtained all necessary consents for any personal data included in the content

4.2 Licence Grant

By submitting content, you grant Auto Press Hub a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, display, distribute, and promote your submitted content on the Site and in our newsletter. You retain ownership of your content. Removal of a published release is governed by section 10 of our Cancellation and Refund Policy.

4.3 Publication and Removal

Releases are published when they are submitted and are not reviewed by us beforehand. We may remove a published release, or the part of it that breaches our Editorial Guidelines, as set out in Part K of those Guidelines, and we will tell you why. We do not rewrite submitted releases.

4.4 Paid Submissions and Refund Policy

Submitting an article for publication may require payment, either per release or under a subscription plan. Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider. A release is treated as delivered at the moment it is published at its live URL: before that point you may cancel for a full refund, and after it the fee is not refundable, because publication cannot be reversed. A submission that is never published never consumes your allowance or your fee. Cancellation, refunds, allowances and what happens to releases you have already published are governed in full by our Cancellation and Refund Policy, which prevails over this section where they differ. Editorial standards are set out in our Editorial Guidelines, and further submission terms in the Article Submission Service Terms and Conditions.

5. Job Listings

5.1 Scope

This section applies to anyone who advertises a vacancy, freelance commission or other opportunity through the Jobs section of the Site (each, a “Listing”, and the person or organisation placing it, the “Advertiser”). It applies in addition to the rest of these Terms.

5.2 Our Role

Auto Press Hub publishes job advertisements. We do not take part in recruitment or selection. We do not receive, forward or store applications or CVs, we do not introduce or supply work-seekers to employers, and we do not assess, screen, shortlist or make any representation about any applicant. Applications are made directly to the Advertiser using the contact details shown on the Listing, and any resulting arrangement is between the Advertiser and the applicant alone.

We never charge anyone for applying for, or responding to, a Listing. If any Listing appears to ask an applicant for payment, please report it to us using the details in Section 15.

5.3 Who May Post

Only registered account holders may post a Listing, and the categories a given account may post in are shown when you use the form. Limits apply to the number of Listings you may have live at any one time. You are responsible for everything posted from your account, and you must not post on behalf of anyone else without their authority.

5.4 Advertiser Warranties

By submitting a Listing you represent and warrant that:

  • You have the authority of the employer or commissioning organisation to advertise the opportunity, and you hold the details of the specific position you are advertising;
  • The opportunity is genuine and open at the time of posting;
  • The employer or commissioning organisation is correctly and truthfully named, and the Listing is not placed anonymously or under a false identity;
  • All information in the Listing is accurate and not misleading, including the pay information required by Section 5.6;
  • The Listing complies with all applicable law, and in particular does not discriminate, directly or indirectly, on the basis of any protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010, whether in its job title, wording, requirements or imagery;
  • The Listing does not require or invite any payment from an applicant;
  • The Listing does not infringe the rights of any third party, and does not contain defamatory, obscene or otherwise unlawful material;
  • You have obtained all necessary consents in respect of any personal data included in the Listing, including the application address you ask us to publish;
  • The application contact details you provide are correct and monitored for the period the Listing is live.

5.5 Licence Grant

By submitting a Listing you grant Auto Press Hub a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, display, reproduce, distribute and promote the Listing on the Site, in our newsletter and on our social media channels, and to include it in structured data supplied to search engines. You retain ownership of the content of your Listing and may withdraw it at any time.

5.6 Pay Information

Every Listing must state the pay for the opportunity, either as a specific figure or as a range. We do not publish Listings that describe pay only as “competitive”, “negotiable”, “dependent on experience” or similar. The figure or range you give must be the pay genuinely offered for the opportunity as advertised.

5.7 Review, Refusal and Removal

We may review any Listing before or after publication, and we may refuse or remove any Listing at our sole discretion and without notice. We may correct obvious typographical or formatting errors, but we will not otherwise alter the substance of your Listing — if it needs changing, we will ask you to amend it. Listings from accounts we have not yet approved, and Listings our checks flag for any reason, are held for review before they appear. We are under no obligation to publish any Listing, and refusing or removing one is not a statement about you or your organisation. Where we refuse a Listing we will normally tell you why, and you are welcome to amend it and post again.

5.8 Duration and Expiry

Unless removed earlier, a published Listing runs for three months from the date it goes live, after which it is taken down automatically and is no longer publicly visible. We aim to email the Advertiser shortly before a Listing expires and again when it has been removed, but these emails are a courtesy and we do not guarantee their delivery; it remains your responsibility to keep track of your own Listings, which you can do at any time from your account. An expired Listing may be reposted, which starts a new three-month period.

You must withdraw a Listing promptly once the opportunity is filled or is no longer open.

5.9 Charges

Posting a Listing is currently free of charge. We may introduce charges for some or all categories of Listing in future. Any charge will be made clear before you post, will apply only to Listings placed after it is introduced, and will never be payable by an applicant.

5.10 Advertiser Responsibility and Indemnity

You are solely responsible for the content of your Listing as you submitted it, and for the recruitment or commissioning process that follows from it. Without limiting Section 10, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Auto Press Hub and its directors, employees and agents against any claim, demand, investigation, penalty, damage, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or in connection with your Listing, including any breach of the warranties in Section 5.4, any allegation that your Listing is discriminatory or otherwise unlawful, and any dispute between you and an applicant.

Our review of Listings is a reasonable-endeavours check and not a legal audit. Nothing we do or fail to do in reviewing, publishing or declining a Listing transfers responsibility for its content from you to us, or amounts to advice that a Listing is lawful.

5.11 No Guarantee of Outcome

We do not guarantee that any Listing will be seen by any particular number of people, will attract applicants, or will result in an appointment or commission. We give no warranty as to the accuracy of any Listing, which is the Advertiser's responsibility, and applicants should satisfy themselves about any opportunity before applying.

5.12 Reporting a Listing

If you believe a Listing is inaccurate, discriminatory, fraudulent or otherwise improper, please tell us using the contact details in Section 15. We take reports seriously and will review any Listing brought to our attention.

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

The Site's design, branding, logos, software, and original editorial content are owned by or licensed to Auto Press Hub and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute these materials without our prior written consent.

The Site's database — the selection, arrangement and indexing of press releases, press office contacts, vehicle data, images, events and listings — is the result of substantial investment by Automotive Technology PR Limited and is protected by database right and copyright. You must not extract or re-use all or a substantial part of it, including by repeatedly or systematically extracting small parts, without our prior written consent.

6.2 Third-Party Content, Including Images

Press releases displayed on the Site, and the images, video and other media that accompany them, are sourced from RSS feeds and media centres that vehicle manufacturers and their press offices publish for use by journalists. This material remains the property of its authors and publishers and, where applicable, of the photographers and agencies who created it. Auto Press Hub acts as an aggregator: we identify the source of every item and link to the original release on every article page, and we preserve any credit that accompanies it. We do not claim ownership of third-party content.

Photographs are handled differently from text. We do not copy press photographs onto our own servers. Every image you see on the Site is loaded by your browser directly from the manufacturer's or press office's own server, and is displayed with a note identifying the source and linking to the original release. If a rights holder removes or replaces an image at source, it stops appearing here.

We do not grant any licence to third-party content, and nothing on the Site should be read as doing so. Press photographs are published by their rights holders for editorial use only; advertising, promotional or other commercial use requires the rights holder's permission. The terms on which you may use any press release, image or other media are set by the rights holder. It is your responsibility to check those terms — usually on the original release, which we link from every article — before you publish, and we give no warranty that any item is cleared for any particular use.

6.3 User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Site. By submitting content, you grant us the licence described in Section 4.2.

If you are a manufacturer, press office, photographer, picture agency or other rights holder and you believe that material on the Site is displayed without your authority, or you would simply prefer that it did not appear here, please tell us. Email contact@autopresshub.co.uk with the subject line “Copyright notice”, or use the “Report” link on the article page, and include:

  • The address (URL) of each page on the Site where the material appears;
  • A description of the work and of your interest in it (for example owner, exclusive licensee, or agent acting for the owner);
  • Your name, organisation and contact details; and
  • A statement that you believe in good faith that the use of the material on the Site is not authorised by the rights holder.

We will acknowledge a notice within two working days. Unless there is a clear reason to think the notice is mistaken, we will remove the material or disable access to it within five working days of receiving a complete notice, and usually much sooner. We do not charge for this and we do not require you to prove ownership before we act, although we may ask for more detail where a notice is incomplete. Where the material was submitted to the Site by a registered user, we will also tell that user why it was removed. We will not restore removed material without the rights holder's agreement.

If you would rather your material were not included on the Site at all — for example a press office that does not wish its releases to be aggregated, or a photographer whose images have appeared on a manufacturer's media site — tell us and we will exclude it from future collection as well as removing what is already published.

7. Newsletter and Communications

If you subscribe to our newsletter, you consent to receiving the Auto Press Hub briefing: a daily or weekly digest of press releases, at the frequency you choose. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or visiting our unsubscribe page.

8. Disclaimers

8.1 Content Accuracy

The press releases and other content on the Site are provided “as is” and “as available.” While we strive to ensure accuracy, we do not guarantee the completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any content. Press releases are sourced from third parties and we are not responsible for their accuracy.

8.2 No Professional Advice

Nothing on the Site constitutes professional, financial, legal, or technical advice. You should seek independent professional advice before making decisions based on information found on the Site.

8.3 Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party sites. Inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site.
  • Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Site shall not exceed the amount you have paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
  • We are not liable for any loss or damage caused by viruses, distributed denial-of-service attacks, or other technologically harmful material that may affect your equipment.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Auto Press Hub and its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Availability and Modifications

We do not guarantee that the Site will be available at all times. We may suspend, withdraw, or restrict access to the Site at any time without notice. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will give registered users at least 30 days' written notice (by email) of any material changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you may close your account before the changes take effect.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy and, where you submit releases, the Article Submission Terms, Editorial Guidelines and Cancellation and Refund Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Auto Press Hub regarding your use of the Site.
