  • The UK’s fleet companies have named Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles the ‘Most Reliable Vanmaker’ for the third consecutive year
  • Reported in the Fleet News FN50 annual rankings, the title is based on data from fleet companies across the UK

Milton Keynes, 4 November, 2026 – Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has once again been named ‘Most Reliable Vanmaker’ in the 2026 Fleet News FN50 report, retaining its crown for the third consecutive year.

Taking responses from fleet managers across the UK on their experiences with their vehicles, the detailed FN50 report ranks the UK’s 50 largest contract hire and leasing companies. The report is based on data including vehicle downtime, reliability issues, and warranty claims. In these metrics, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has once again proven its excellence.

Earlier this year, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles launched its Connect Pro platform in the UK as part of its commitment to continuously improving its offering to fleet customers – a digital fleet management and telematics ecosystem designed to support commercial customers. This builds on the brand’s extensive aftersales programme created to minimise hassle and maximise uptime for operators, including through the Volkswagen 5+ Promise package, fixed priced servicing, and its extensive network of over 70 UK Van Centres.

As well as winning the overall title, three Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles made the list of most reliable individual vehicles, with Transporter, Crafter, and Caddy, taking third, fourth, and fifth place respectively.

Rob Holdcroft, Head of Sales at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, commented: “We’re extremely proud to be recognised as ‘Most Reliable Vanmaker’ in the FN50 rankings for the third year in a row – a testament to the hard work of our entire team to deliver on our commitment to provide our customers with the very best products and services.

"Keeping our customers on the road is our top priority, and we're delighted to see this dedication is acknowledged by our fleet customers."
