The people’s carrier: Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles opens order books for new Caravelle

• The premium seven-seat people carrier reintroduces the Caravelle name to the UK, replacing the outgoing ‘Multivan’¹

Milton Keynes, UK, 4 November 2026 – Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has confirmed the UK pricing and specification of its premium seven-seat people carrier, Caravelle. Available to order from today, prices start from £41,960 (excl. VAT) ² or £499 per month on a Solutions Personal Contract Plan³ with first deliveries expected in early 2027.

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has brought the Caravelle nameplate back to the UK, in recognition of the trust customers already have in the name. Formerly known as Multivan, the Caravelle returns as a modern people carrier shaped for today’s drivers.¹

The vehicle features a new exterior and interior design, as well as the latest technology which combine to offer a premium experience in personal and professional use. The people carrier comes with seven seats as standard, or in an optional six-seat configuration. It is available in a total of three trims: two core trims, Life and Style, as well as the new Edition trim.

On the outside, the Caravelle features a completely redesigned front-end with new VW Bus headlights. These are larger and more powerful than previous models, giving a stylish look to the vehicle while also improving user safety and visibility. As well as the new headlights, the front bumper has been updated to improve air intake for air conditioning and ventilation, while creating a harmonious appearance.

Inside the Caravelle, the cockpit has received major enhancements including a high-quality dash panel with integrated topstitching. It features a new generation of ‘free-standing’ 12.9-inch infotainment system as well as a 10.25-inch upgraded Digital Cockpit.

, Volkswagen has upgraded the passenger experience, with two USB-C points in the front and four USB-C charging sockets in the passenger compartment with improved charging speeds. For the first time, memory and massage functions are also available for the front passenger seat in conjunction with the optional AGR ErgoComfort seats.

Caravelle is available in two solid (Candy White, Pure Grey), eight metallic (Grenadilla Black Metallic, Grey Brown Metallic, Starlight Blue Metallic, Reed Green Metallic, Sunset Red Metallic, Mono Silver Metallic, Indium Grey Metallic, Florida Beach Blue Metallic) and 3 two-tone finishes (Candy White/Starlight Blue metallic, Candy White/Grey Brown Metallic, Grenadilla Black Metallic/Sunset Red Metallic), with a Black Roof option exclusively for the Edition trim.

Edition trim
Caravelle launches with a new Edition trim level, a stylish and luxurious upgrade for users looking for visual impact. A dark-tinted two-piece panoramic sunroof, glossy black 18-inch "Brüssel” alloy wheels, and darkened LED rear lights set it apart from other models.

Inside, the cabin is decked out in dark features, with dark silver brushed decorative inserts; dark headliner and door pillar trim; and ergoComfort seats in dark ArtVelours microfleece upholstery, letting passengers travel in comfort and style. This trim also comes with the “Discover Pro” satellite navigation system and the Harman Kardon sound system included as standard.

To celebrate order books opening, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is offering a number of finance packages, with monthly payments starting from £499 on a Solutions Personal Contract Plan (PCP)³ or £449 through Business Contract Hire.⁴ These offers are available for orders placed from 6 November 2026 to 5 January 2027.
