Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles enhances Grand California MY27 and adds special edition model to UK line-up

Milton Keynes, UK, 7 October 2026 – UK order books have opened for the updated Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Grand California campervan, as well as the Dune Special Edition model.

The award-winning and much-loved premium campervan has been enhanced for MY27, providing a comfortable and versatile ‘home away from home’, on top of a price reduction, now starting from £68,960 excl. VAT.¹

Inside, surfaces are finished in Atami Bamboo trim, with a matching hard-wearing wood effect floor covering, to create a warm and high-quality cabin. Practical details have evolved to provide even greater convenience, with additional storage solutions and a flexible foldout table.

Fitted solar panels are now also available as an optional extra, as part of the recently-announced Off-Grid Package. This includes two 40Ah LiFePO₄ batteries, providing 40% more usable battery capacity, allowing campers to stay off-grid in comfort for longer.

Dune Special Edition
In addition to the enhanced standard model, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has added a Dune Special Edition model to the UK line-up.

For just £1,000 more (excl. VAT) than the standard model¹, the Dune Special Edition is available in a striking Ascot Grey colour with contrast black grained bumper, which is unique to this model. In addition to the standard features, the Dune Special Edition adds further features to provide even greater levels of comfort and customisability:

• 17-inch Lismore black alloys
• Black grained bumpers
• “Dune” decals on the front and side of the exterior
• Climatronic air conditioning
• Ambient Lighting
• LED headlights with auto headlight control, and separate LED Daytime Running Lights
