Hanover, 14 September 2026 – Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is opening IAA Transportation 2026 with a clear commitment to commercial customers. The brand's presence at the show focuses on its transformation into a true B2B brand and on new digital solutions designed to maximise productivity and vehicle availability.
“Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles stands for reliability, functionality and trust. For more than 70 years, these values have defined our brand,” said Stefan Mecha, CEO of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, during the opening press conference.
“This year, we're presenting much more than products. We're presenting a clear commitment to the people who keep the world moving: our customers, their businesses and their success. We are transforming Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles into a true B2B brand. And we are deepening our focus on commercial customers. This is exactly where trust is the ultimate currency.”
As fleet operations become increasingly connected and data-driven, digital services are playing a growing role in business success. To support this transition, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is showcasing Connect Pro as a key element of its future customer offering.
“Today, we take the next step with Connect Pro. One ecosystem. One interface. One clear goal: keep our customers moving. Because for our customers, uptime is not a feature. Uptime is business,” Mecha said.
Connect Pro combines intelligent monitoring, predictive maintenance and connected services in one integrated ecosystem. The objective is to minimise unplanned downtime and maximise vehicle availability, helping customers operate more efficiently.
“Think of motorsports. The difference between winning and losing can be milliseconds. Behind every second on the track is a team — monitoring, anticipating, acting. Never waiting for a problem to happen. That is exactly what Connect Pro is designed to do for our customers.”
At IAA Transportation 2026, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles reinforces its ambition to be more than a vehicle manufacturer. The brand aims to be a trusted business partner, providing solutions that increase productivity, simplify operations and support the long-term success of its customers.
