The Renault Master has once again proven its class-leading credentials, after it carried off the ‘Large Van of the Year’ title for the second year running at the prestigious Auto Express New Car Awards 2026.

Having secured the same category win at last year’s awards, the Renault Master continues to impress with its breadth of capability, combining strong load-carrying versatility with efficient powertrains, advanced connectivity and a cabin designed around the needs of drivers and operators. Its availability in diesel and E-Tech electric forms further strengthens its appeal for businesses with a wide range of operational requirements.

Summing up the Renault Master’s award-winning appeal, Phil McNamara, Editor-at-large, Auto Express, said: “Master by name, Master by nature – Renault’s large van delivers for pace, space and running costs.”

Accepting the award, Seb Brechon, Head of LCV and Brand Performance, Renault UK, said: “Retaining the Auto Express Large Van of the Year title is a strong endorsement of the latest-generation Renault Master. It has been designed around the real needs of businesses, with the load capacity, efficiency, comfort and technology that operators depend on every day. Whether customers choose diesel or E-Tech electric, Master delivers the capability and confidence they need to keep their business moving.”

The Renault Master is available with loadspaces from 11 to 14.8 cubic metres, with multiple lengths and heights ensuring operators can specify the right vehicle for a wide range of trades and businesses.

Its cabin has been designed as a true mobile workspace, combining robust materials, practical storage and advanced connectivity with high levels of standard equipment. Up to 20 driver assistance systems are also available, supporting safety, comfort and efficiency in everyday use.

For fleets moving towards electric operation, Master E-Tech electric offers a range of up to 285 miles WLTP, helping businesses reduce running costs and emissions without compromising day-to-day capability.

The Renault Master range starts from £33,500 plus VAT, with Master E-Tech electric models available from £37,500 plus VAT after the Plug-in Van Grant.
