  • Renault retains two key titles at the Great British Fleet Awards 2026
  • Renault Master named ‘Large Van of the Year’ for second consecutive year
  • Renault 5 E-Tech electric wins ‘Best EV Compact Car’ for second consecutive year
  • Awards judged by independent expert panels for the first time, reinforcing credibility
  • Renault Master range starts from £33,500 plus VAT, Renault 5 E-Tech electric from £21,495 OTR after ECG

Renault has secured another double victory at the Great British Fleet Awards 2026, after the Renault Master was named ‘Large Van of the Year’ and the Renault 5 E-Tech electric was awarded ‘Best EV Compact Car’ – both models retaining their titles for a second year.

The awards, organised by Fleet World, introduced an independent judging panel for the first time this year, underlining their credibility and industry relevance. Chaired by Fleet World Editor Simon Harris for cars and John Kendall for vans, the judges recognised Renault’s ability to deliver practical, efficient and appealing solutions for both fleet operators and drivers.

Highlighting the factors that led to the Renault Master taking top honours in its category, John Kendall, Editor of Van Fleet World, said: “It’s a couple of years since the latest Master made its appearance, taking quite a few people by surprise. Renault focussed on maintaining the many options expected from a large van – a range of sizes and roof heights, chassis cab variants and conversions to suit a wide range of users. The designers focussed on improving aerodynamics to lower fuel consumption for ICE variants and maximise driving range for electric models. It’s good to look at, a practical load carrier and a good place for drivers to spend the working day.”

Commenting on the Renault 5 E-Tech electric’s continued success, Simon Harris added:
“Making it two years in a row, Renault has proved that small cars can have strong appeal as electric vehicles, especially with a dash of nostalgia thrown in. The Renault 5 E-tech has enough of the right ingredients to keep it on top for another year.”

Justin Costello, Head of Fleet, Renault UK, said: “Retaining both of these titles is a strong endorsement of how well Master and Renault 5 E-Tech electric are performing for customers. Whether it’s the flexibility and usability fleets rely on from Master, or the everyday practicality and sheer appeal of Renault 5 E-Tech electric, both are proving their value where it counts.”

The Renault Master continues to offer exceptional versatility for fleets, with loadspaces ranging from 11 to 14.8 cubic metres and multiple lengths and heights available, ensuring it can meet a wide range of operational requirements. Its cabin combines a durable, premium feel with practical storage solutions, creating a true mobile workspace. For fleets transitioning to electric, the Renault Master E-Tech electric provides a compelling option, offering a driving range of up to 285 miles (WLTP), alongside low running costs and zero tailpipe emissions.

The Renault Master range starts from £33,500 plus VAT, with Master E-Tech electric models available from £37,500 plus VAT after PiVG.

The Renault 5 E-Tech electric brings an iconic nameplate into the electric era with contemporary packaging and advanced technology designed around real-world needs. It features the OpenR Link infotainment system with Google built-in, a chassis tuned for agility, and practical charging solutions suited to everyday use. Depending on version, it offers up to 252 miles (WLTP) driving range and can charge from 15-80% in around 30 minutes.

Now available with the full £3,750 Electric Car Grant, prices for the Renault 5 E-Tech electric start from £21,495 on-the-road.
