LEPAS confirms full UK specification and pricing of flagship L8 premium SUV

Electrified carmaker LEPAS today announces full pricing and specification of its premium D-segment SUV – the L8 – which will launch the brand in the UK when it goes on sale in July.

Designed from the wheels up for Europe and enhanced for British roads, the L8 will be offered in two distinct trim lines: 'Essence', with outstanding levels of technology, safety and comfort, and 'Elevate', which takes in-car luxury and refinement to the next level.

Prices for the L8 PHEV Essence begin at £34,900 RRP on-the-road, while the L8 PHEV Elevate starts at £37,900 RRP on-the-road.

Both variants are powered by the LEPAS Super Hybrid ecosystem, featuring a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine mated to a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT), electronic gear selector and an 18.4kWh battery which can be DC fast charged from 30% to 80% in as little as 20 minutes. The powertrain delivers a combined range of up to 745 miles, a pure electric range of up to 56 miles, combined fuel consumption of up to 403.5 mpg and CO2 emissions of just 21g/km. A fully electric L8 will follow in 2027.

The L8 will arrive in LEPAS showrooms in September, with pre-orders opening in July and first customer deliveries in September.

Exterior styling

The L8's design is inspired by the leopard, with sweeping curves, flowing lines and muscular haunches. The signature 'Diamond Mesh' grille evokes the texture of a leopard's coat while 'Leopard's Eye' daytime running lights give a distinctive stare. Essence rides on 19-inch diamond-cut alloys; Elevate on 20-inch wheels. Both come with LED headlights with Intelligent High Beam Assist, an acoustic laminated windscreen, heated power-folding mirrors and privacy glass. Elevate adds acoustic front windows, Active Engine Noise Cancellation and puddle lights. Colours include Expressive Emerald (no cost), Instinct White, Leopard Black, Mystic Purple and Impulse Red (£500) and matte Stoic Grey (£750).

Interior

Built on LEPAS's LEX platform with a 2,800mm wheelbase, the L8 offers 970mm of rear legroom. Standard equipment includes a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry and remote engine start. Elevate adds a hands-free power tailgate, heated windscreen, power-adjustable front seats with heating, cooling and massage, 256-colour ambient lighting and in-car fragrance technology.

Safety

Both trims share the same core ADAS suite: autonomous emergency braking, emergency lane-keeping, front distance monitoring, adaptive cruise control and intelligent speed limit control, plus 10 airbags. Elevate adds front parking sensors, a 540-degree panoramic camera, advanced parking assist and remote parking assist.

Infotainment

All models feature a 13.2-inch central touchscreen, connected navigation, the 'Hello LEPAS' AI voice assistant, 4G connectivity, wireless and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 50W wireless charging and four USB ports. Elevate upgrades to a SONY Premium 8-speaker audio system.
