World Premiere of LEPAS AURA Concept Showcases a New Chapter of LEPAS' Design Identity

LEPAS has unveiled the AURA Concept at the brand’s Global Elegance Night, marking the world premiere of the brand’s first concept car and offering the clearest vision yet of the future direction for the new-energy vehicle brand.
Revealed during the inaugural LEPAS Global Elegant Lifestyle Week in Wuhu, China, AURA introduces the second evolution of the brand's distinctive Leopard Aesthetics design language, pairing stronger proportions and more expressive surfacing with a new design identity and greater opportunities for personal expression.
The concept retains the porcelain-inspired surfacing already seen in the LEPAS L8 SUV, using glossy sculpted volumes and fluid lines to balance strength with refinement. Integrated air channels follow the contours of the body, bringing form and function together.
Speaking at the LEPAS Global Elegance Night, Ivan Dulanovic, Chief Designer of LEPAS, said: "In our philosophy, form and function are never two separate things. The AURA's stance follows the running leopard; it is lean, forward and efficient. The many air winds this car has guide the air through and over the car, helping to create downforce across the wide and powerful body of the car. The air itself helped shape this car, so to speak.”
AURA's long wheelbase, short overhangs and wide stance give it a confident, grounded presence. Meanwhile, pronounced shoulder lines, flowing surfaces and its dramatic Leopard-Eye headlamps draw on the controlled energy of a leopard – creating a car that feels powerful without ever becoming overstated. “It is our interpretation of the leopard's power. It is not exaggerated and it is certainly not decorated, it is simply present. And that is how we imagine that strength looks when it doesn’t need to prove itself,” commented Ivan Dulanovic.
At the front, AURA introduces a new face that will inspire the future of LEPAS models. The rounded grille and side intake areas are brought together into one clean black surface, creating a more cohesive and understated look. Simultaneously, the Leopard-Eye light signature gives the car an unmistakable gaze from a distance. Both elements are intended to create a stronger, more consistent family identity across future LEPAS models.
AURA also explores how future LEPAS customers could make that identity their own. A digital canvas at the front of the car can carry adaptable graphics, lighting and animations, while an elliptical rear display opens up new opportunities for personalised taillight signatures. “The customer could, in a way, become the designer of their own car. Technologies often dictate how the front end looks, but here we invite you to personalise it,” said Ivan Dulanovic.
The car retains a recognisable LEPAS silhouette, with adaptable lighting and graphics giving customers room to express their individuality. This balance of brand identity and personal expression reflects LEPAS’s philosophy of quiet confidence and living at one’s own pace.
AURA’s three colours draw inspiration from natural landscapes at different times of day. Dawn Pearl takes its soft pink tone from a Tahitian sunrise; Bacalar Blue reflects the blue-turquoise waters of Mexico's Bacalar Lagoon; and Provence Twilight captures the deep blue-violet tones of lavender fields at dusk.
Together, the three colours reflect how elegance can take different forms across changing light and landscapes, while offering users more ways to express their personal style.
