FIAT took part in Vogue World: Milano, which was held on 22nd September at the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, with a symbolic tribute to one of the most enduring icons of Italian culture: the 1957 Fiat 500.

Dedicated to the excellence of Made in Italy, this year’s edition celebrated craftsmanship, creativity and the human touch through a dialogue between heritage and innovation, bringing together fashion, music and performance in a global event livestreamed across Vogue’s platforms.

Within this narrative, FIAT chose the historic 1957 Fiat 500 as an expression of the creativity and design that has shaped Italy’s cultural identity for generations. Much like the artisans, designers and makers celebrated throughout the event, the Fiat 500 stands as the result of human talent, vision and innovation, embodying values that continue to define Italian excellence around the world.

During the show, a scale model of the historic 1957 Fiat 500 was carried through the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II by a representative of a new generation, symbolising the passing on of a unique cultural legacy and its ongoing reinterpretation in an increasingly inclusive society. An enduring symbol of Italy’s social and economic transformation, the Fiat 500 has evolved far beyond its role as a car to become a cultural icon embedded in the country’s collective memory. The activation also served as an early teaser for the Fiat 500’s 70th anniversary in 2027. Through this simple yet powerful gesture, FIAT celebrated the lasting relevance of a model that helped make mobility accessible to millions of families and continues, almost seven decades after its debut, to connect past, present and future.

Alongside the symbolic tribute to the original 1957 model, FIAT brought its story of iconic and accessible urban mobility into the streets of Milan through a branded fleet of Fiat 500s and Topolinos that accompanied Vogue World activations across the city. Together, the historic model carried during the performance and these contemporary expressions of FIAT’s distinctive design created a dialogue between heritage and modernity, showing how the  brand continues to reinterpret mobility with creativity, simplicity and an unmistakably Italian spirit. In doing so, FIAT reflected the very essence of Vogue World: Milano, celebrating the enduring value of Italian creativity, craftsmanship and innovation through icons that continue to represent ‘made in Italy’ around the world.
