  • The new CUPRA Born redefines the boundaries of design and performance with enhanced styling and greater technology
  • The upgraded new CUPRA Born embraces the brand’s latest design language DNA and continues to challenge convention
  • The new Born delivers electrifying performance with new features that intensify every drive

Milton Keynes, 05-03-2026 – CUPRA has continued to challenge convention with the launch of the new CUPRA Born, which has evolved to deliver a sharper, more emotional experience. The brand’s first all-electric car has been re-engineered to deliver a new striking design, improved interior and greater technology offering.

Embracing the brands recognisable and dynamic DNA, the new CUPRA Born’s exterior design features newly designed front and rear bumpers, triangular Matrix LED lights and an illuminated CUPRA logo integrated into the 3D rear light.

Inside, the interior has boasts a redesigned steering wheel featuring physical controls, higher perceived quality thanks to new door panels, and a  larger 10.25” digital cockpit to enhance the immersive experience of the CUPRA Born, supported by augmented reality head-up display. The sound system has also been upgraded with Sennheiser Contrabass technology to deliver an immersive bass performance, while CUPRA’s new Interior Sound Signature delivers a stronger connection between the driver and the car.

When it comes to performance, the new CUPRA Born delivers the hallmark electrifying performance that CUPRA drivers have become accustomed to, intensifying every drive. It includes four motor-battery configurations to choose from, launch control, the new One Pedal Driving System, and wider tyres for both 19” and 20” wheels.

Alongside the upgraded performance, the new Born is equipped with updated safety system, Travel Assist 3.0, with cloud‑enhanced longitudinal control, new Crossroad Assist, upgraded Front Assist with multi‑stage warnings, and precrash with rear detection to deliver intelligent protection.

The new CUPRA Born V1 and V2 is capable of achieving around 279 miles range on the 58kWh battery, with both models and the new CUPRA Born VZ capable of a range of around 372 miles on the enhanced 79kWh battery. The car can also be customised with six exterior colours – including the new Timanfaya Grey.

Change needs drivers — and CUPRA believes real progress comes through radical disruption, by defying expectations and challenging conventions. Since its launch in 2018, the brand has transformed the automotive industry as an instigator of creativity and an agitator for change.

In just seven years, CUPRA has launched seven models and sold over 1 million vehicles globally. Every CUPRA model is restlessly expressive, design led, and performance driven. Its fully-fledged portfolio includes the CUPRA Ateca, the first car to ever feature the CUPRA badge; the CUPRA Leon, redesigned and enhanced as a standalone CUPRA model; the CUPRA Formentor, the first car to be developed exclusively by the brand and the company’s best-selling vehicle to date; the CUPRA Born, the brand’s first 100% electric vehicle; the CUPRA Tavascan, an all-electric SUV coupe; and the CUPRA Terramar, the brand’s sporty SUV. In 2026, the CUPRA Raval, the brand’s radical interpretation of the electric urban car, will join its lineup.

CUPRA is more than a car. It’s a conviction. The CUPRA Tribe is made up of a team of ambassadors who push back against convention and past the boundaries that hold others back, with members including Spain’s most decorated Olympian, Saúl Craviotto; film director J.A. Bayona; German goalkeeper Marc ter Stegen; and two-time Ballon d'Or and Best FIFA Award-winning footballer Alexia Putellas. Obsessive about elevating emotion on and off the road, CUPRA is also FC Barcelona's official automotive and mobility partner, the Premier Padel Tour's premium sponsor and is also proud to participate in the Formula E racing competition with Kiro Race Co.
