Passat eHybrids at a glance
Passat eHybrids have an electric-only range of up to 82 miles (WLTP combined) and can be charged with up 40 kW DC, which means the battery can be topped up from five to 80 per cent in about 26 minutes. They all feature a 1.5 TSI engine that, with the battery, produces 204 to 272 PS of power and can accelerate the vehicle to 62 mph in as little as 7.1 seconds. The boot volume is a generous 510 litres (1,920 litres when the rear seats are folded down).

The Passat has been a mainstay of the Volkswagen range for more than 50 years. The current, ninth-generation model has won multiple high-profile awards and is exceptionally aerodynamic; its coefficient of drag (Cd) of just 0.25 makes the car more slippery through the air than even some sports models, and ensures quiet, frugal driving.

Tiguan eHybrids at a glance
Tiguan eHybrids have an electric-only range of up to 75 miles (WLTP combined) and can be charged with up 40 kW DC, which means the battery can be topped up from five to 80 per cent in about 26 minutes. They all have a 1.5 TSI engine that, with the battery, produces 204 to 272 PS of power and can accelerate the vehicle to 62 mph is as little as 7.2 seconds. The boot volume is a useful 490 litres (1,486 litres when the rear seats are folded down).

The Tiguan is currently Volkswagen’s best-selling model worldwide, and was one of two Volkswagen models – alongside the Golf – to be among last year’s top 10 best sellers in the UK. The brand’s adaptive running gear, DCC Pro, is fitted as standard on Tiguan eHybrid models; it optimises driving dynamics and features world-first two-valve shock absorbers similar to variable dampers familiar in motorsport.

Tayron eHybrids at a glance
Tayron five-seat eHybrids have an electric-only range of up to 74 miles (WLTP combined) and can be charged with up 40 kW DC, which means the battery can be topped up from five to 80 per cent in about 26 minutes. Like the Passat and Tiguan, they use an advanced 1.5 TSI engine that, with the battery, produces 204 to 272 PS of power and can accelerate the vehicle to 62 mph is as little as 7.3 seconds. The boot volume is a cavernous 705 litres (1,915 litres when the rear seats are folded down).

Offering up to seven seats (non-eHybrid variants only) and a compelling mix of practicality, comfort, style and quality, the Tayron bridges the gap between the Tiguan and Volkswagen’s long-established SUV range-topper, the Touareg.

See the Volkswagen.co.uk website for more details about the Passat, Tiguan and Tayron.

About Volkswagen brand:
A total of 178,607 new Volkswagen passenger vehicles were registered in the UK in 2025, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). This equated to a market share of 8.84 per cent – ahead of the brand’s market share in 2024 (8.52 per cent) – and made Volkswagen the UK’s best-selling new-car brand for the fifth year running.

The Volkswagen Passenger Cars brand has a global presence, producing vehicles at 28 locations in 12 countries, and employs 170,000 people. In 2025, Volkswagen delivered around 4.73 million vehicles worldwide. These included bestsellers such as the Polo, T-Roc, T-Cross, Golf, Tiguan and Passat, as well as the successful all-electric ID. models. Volkswagen handed over about 382,000 all-electric vehicles to customers worldwide in 2025 and, with its ACCELERATE strategy, is consistently advancing its ambition to become the most desirable brand for sustainable mobility.
