Vauxhall continues its growth trajectory in February, with car and van volume up by 6% year-on-year to 15,189, meaning the brand finished third in the UK new vehicle market with a total market share of 5.7%, according to the latest new vehicle registration figures published today by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).

The Corsa continues to be a key sales driver for Vauxhall, remaining the UK’s best-selling small car in 2026, selling 4,236 units since the start of the year. New Frontera has also had a successful month, finishing as the second best-selling electric family SUV in its segment.

In total, Vauxhall saw a rise of 7% in passenger car volume year-on-year, with a total of 11,733 registrations since the start of the year. Electric car volume and share have also risen, with an 8% year-on-year growth in volume and share increasing to 4.6%.

In the van market, Vauxhall has seen significant gains with a 5% year-on-year increase in registrations, resulting in a market share boost from 9.5% to 10.4% and Vauxhall finishing second in the market*.

Eurig Druce, Vauxhall Managing Director & Stellantis UK Group Managing Director, said: “February was another good month for Vauxhall with strong results across both car and van markets, putting us among the top three best-selling vehicle brands in the UK. The Corsa remains Britain’s best-selling small car in 2026. The new Frontera is also making waves in the market, driving sales and increasing market share as the second most-sold model in the compact electric SUV segment. There is more still to come from Vauxhall as we continue to expand our vehicle line-up, with the new Astra and exciting Corsa GSE on the way later this year, and build on this positive momentum.”
