Vauxhall has ended the third quarter of 2026 with strong results across its car and van range. The latest new vehicle registration figures published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) show the brand holds a 4.6% share of the combined car and van market year-to-date, ranking sixth in the UK. Retail sales volume increased by 12% compared with the same period in 2025, giving Vauxhall a 4.0% retail market share.
The Vauxhall Corsa remains the UK’s best-selling small car year-to-date, with a 13% share of its segment, while the new Frontera is the UK’s best-selling electric SUV in the retail market over the same period. Both the Corsa and Frontera are available with electric, petrol and hybrid powertrains, giving customers the flexibility to choose the option that best suits their needs.
In total, Vauxhall has registered 91,105 cars and vans year-to-date, compared with 87,610 at the same point in 2025, representing a +7% increase in volume.
Eurig Druce, Vauxhall Managing Director and Stellantis UK Group Managing Director, said: “A 7% increase in volume demonstrates the momentum behind Vauxhall. The Corsa’s position as the UK’s best-selling supermini and the Frontera Electric’s leadership of the electric compact SUV segment underline the strength and breadth of our range.
“With electric, hybrid, and petrol powertrains available across our range, customers have never had such choice to pick the exact option that best suits their specific needs. We enter the final quarter focused on building on these results and continuing to make practical, accessible vehicles available to customers across the UK.”
Vauxhall offers a fully electric version of every car and van model in its line-up.
