Vauxhall Mokka GSE Rally driver Ioan Lloyd has moved into the lead of the 2026 ADAC GSE Rally Cup standings after securing a podium finish at the ADAC Rallye Stemweder Berg.

Lloyd and co-driver Sion Williams finished third at the fourth round of the championship, securing their fourth podium of the season and moving to the top of the standings with 111 points. Just ten points separate the top three drivers, with Timo Schulz second on 104 points and Tom Dufour third on 101 points.

The Mokka GSE Rally completed the full 88-mile (141.8km) rally distance across 14 special stages, with the all-electric rally cars supported by remote charging technology. The system enables the cars to be recharged between special stages rather than solely within the service park. With power of up to 207kW (281PS), the Mokka GSE Rally continues to demonstrate the performance of all-electric power in competitive motorsport.

For Lloyd, the result sees him return to the top of the championship standings following a challenging fourth round. The young Welsh driver had been in second place after the previous round at Rallye Weiz, where he secured his third consecutive podium.

“It was a real rollercoaster ride,” said Lloyd. “We got off to a good start and were in second place behind Timo Schulz and Maresa Lade, who were once again incredibly strong. Then came a spin and rear-axle damage, which set us back to fifth place. I’m really pleased that we still managed to make it onto the podium and pick up the points for second place in the Power Stage. The battle against Timo and Tom is incredibly close – that’s exactly what makes the ADAC GSE Rally Cup so special.”

The fifth round of the ADAC GSE Rally Cup will take place from 16–18 October as part of the legendary Sanremo Rally in Italy.

ABOUT VAUXHALL MOTORS

Vauxhall Motors started making cars in the UK in 1903. Today, as the oldest and most familiar of Britain’s automotive manufacturers, its philosophy is to build vehicles that are relevant to all and offer design, high levels of equipment and technology, and electrification at an attainable level. Vauxhall is one of few automotive brands to produce electric vehicles in Britain at its manufacturing plant in Ellesmere Port – the UK’s first electric-only manufacturing plant where the Combo Electric van is made. Vauxhall’s Electric Streets of Britain campaign raises the profile of the need for more on-street electric vehicle charging so that everyone can benefit from the switch to electric.  Find out more at www.electricstreets.co.uk

Vauxhall is proud to be the official automotive partner of Team GB. The partnership sees Britain's most loved sports team and one of Britain’s most recognisable automotive brands joining forces, with Vauxhall supporting athletes as they prepare for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

Vauxhall is part of Stellantis NV, a global leader created for the new era of sustainable mobility as a result of the merger between Groupe PSA and FCA Group in January 2021. Vauxhall is a leader in electrification – as of 2021, it was one of the first manufacturers to offer fully electric versions of all its vans. Since the end of 2024, Vauxhall has offered a fully electric version of every model in its car and van line-up. Info: www.vauxhall.co.uk
