Factory Booster Day 2026 Accelerates Innovation Across Stellantis’ Global Manufacturing Network

- Factory Booster Day connects operational challenges from more than 60 Stellantis plants worldwide with supplier-driven solutions to improve manufacturing performance, quality and competitiveness
- More than 80 suppliers and startups were selected to present their innovative solutions focused on AI, automation, advanced robotics, vision systems, energy intelligence and digital manufacturing at the event
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., October 22, 2026 - Stellantis hosted the 2026 edition of Factory Booster Day on October 21, its annual global platform that connects real plant challenges with supplier-driven solutions to advance manufacturing innovation and operational excellence.
Since its inception in 2016, Factory Booster Day has accelerated the deployment of practical technologies across Stellantis’ manufacturing operations through its Open Challenge process, which matches plant teams’ real-world operational needs with tailored solutions from suppliers and startups. The selected projects aim to improve quality, efficiency, safety and sustainability on the shop floor and, when successful, are prepared for implementation across Stellantis plants, helping move innovation quickly from concept to industrial deployment.
Stellantis teams submitted operational challenges from 63 plants across all regions, while more than 280 suppliers and startups submitted solutions spanning AI, automation, advanced robotics, vision systems, energy intelligence and digital manufacturing.
“Factory Booster Day reflects the power of collaboration between our manufacturing teams and supplier partners,” said Francesco Ciancia, Chief Manufacturing Officer, Stellantis. “By starting from real plant challenges and focusing on solutions that can be deployed at scale, we are accelerating innovation where it matters most: on the shop floor.”
The 2026 event also featured a more engaging agenda, including Beyond the Booths, a series of spotlight sessions in which Stellantis leaders shared insights into key manufacturing priorities and the Innovation Global Awards, which recognized outstanding contributions from employees and plants across the regions. The award-winning projects highlight the creativity, technical excellence, and measurable operational impact driving Stellantis’ manufacturing transformation.
The following examples from past editions highlight how Factory Booster Day supports Stellantis’ FaSTLAne 2030 strategic plan by advancing practical manufacturing innovations. These solutions help strengthen manufacturing processes and support the Company’s commitment to delivering vehicles that meet evolving customer expectations and the overall ownership experience.
United States: Real-Time Draw-In Monitoring
ThinkDigits, a Michigan-based industrial AI company, implemented real-time blank draw-in monitoring at the Sterling (Michigan) Stamping plant to detect stamping deviations earlier, strengthen process control and deliver annual savings of nearly four times the initial investment—supporting expansion to additional production lines.
Spain: Fixtureless Geometry Measurement
ZEISS introduced fixtureless geometry measurement for stamped parts at the Zaragoza plant to eliminate dedicated checking fixtures, increase inspection flexibility and deliver significant operational benefits with a low implementation cost.
France: Immersive Training and Virtual Plant Tours
Uptale developed immersive digital training modules and virtual production-line tours at the Sochaux plant to replace paper-based instruction, expand remote access to manufacturing processes and deliver a more engaging, scalable learning experience.
