Milton Keynes, 5 November 2026: The Škoda Peaq has won another key UK motor industry title after being named Best Large Car in the 2027 Parkers New Car Awards. The all-new, fully electric seven-seater is set to arrive in the UK in January and will become Škoda’s flagship model in the brand’s expanded lineup.
The Parkers judging panel praised the Peaq’s all-round ability and attention to detail, highlighting the newcomer’s numerous family-friendly features. Commenting on the Peaq’s victory, Parkers Head of Content Tom Webster said: “Life with a large family can come with its fair share of challenges, and we love the Škoda Peaq because it really feels like it has been engineered to improve family life. It’s spacious, well thought out inside, has some handy storage solutions and is easy to drive, especially for something so large.”
Recognising Škoda’s focus on useful everyday features, Webster also praised the Peaq’s Simply Clever touches, adding: “Škoda keeps thinking of ways to add clever little elements that not only put a smile on your face but are genuinely useful. We love the cleaner for when the touchscreen gets grubby, the slots in the back of the front seats for holding a phone, and the neat way you can store the parcel shelf under the bonnet.”
Despite not arriving in the UK until 2027, the Peaq has already won two prestigious UK awards, having picked up the Large SUV of the Year award in the annual News UK Motor Awards. Further afield, the Peaq has also been named German Family Car of the Year by a jury of German journalists and reviewers.
Built on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform and produced in Mladá Boleslav in the Czech Republic, the Peaq is the largest and most spacious model in Škoda’s portfolio. Already available to order in the UK, it offers a driving range of up to 395 miles, measures nearly 4.9 metres in length and can accommodate seven adults. It also delivers 2,075 litres of luggage capacity with the second and third rows of seats folded flat.
Equipped with an 86 kWh (net) battery – the largest ever fitted to a Škoda EV – the Peaq is available with a choice of rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive and delivers power outputs of up to 299 PS. Buyers can choose from three generously equipped trim levels: SE L, Edition and SportLine, with prices starting from £51,980 OTR.
