Renault’s new electric city car has officially arrived in the capital, with radio DJ Greg James and TV presenter and motoring journalist Jonny Smith leading the celebrations as Renault Twingo E-Tech electric made its UK debut at rnlt London Battersea, the brand’s innovative concept store at the iconic Battersea Power Station.

The UK premiere was marked with an exclusive preview event attended by 50 guests, ahead of the 100% electric Twingo going on display at rnlt London Battersea. Until 15th February, visitors will have the exclusive opportunity to see the only example of the new Renault Twingo in the UK, ahead of planned orders opening later this year.

Taking place within Renault’s recently-opened immersive retail space on Battersea Power Station’s Electric Boulevard, the evening included a panel discussion exploring the future of city mobility and the growing role of electric vehicles in urban life, led by James and Smith.

With its bright green paintwork and expressive, wide-set headlights, Renault Twingo E-Tech electric has already earned an affectionate nickname among designers: “le frog” – yet more proof that Renault is offering fun, enjoyable and vibrant electric cars.

rnlt London Battersea is Renault’s first UK rnlt concept store and provides an exciting snapshot of the brand’s all-electric line-up, culture and lifestyle merchandise, in a prime retail space of over 200 sq. metres at one of the capital’s most loved destinations.

David Isherwood, Marketing Director, Renault UK, said: “Twingo E-Tech electric is built for the city, so there was no better place for its UK debut than rnlt London Battersea. Since its official reveal in Paris in November it’s created a real stir, and with the original Twingo earning a real cult following, this new generation is set to follow in its footsteps.”

The Renault Twingo’s UK debut marks another milestone in Renault’s bold electric momentum, building on the success of the Renault 4 E-Tech electric and Renault 5 E-Tech electric, which have helped capture imaginations with their blend of iconic design, cutting-edge technology and everyday usability.

With excitement already building around the new Twingo, those keen to get ahead of the queue when orders open later this year can secure their place with a Renault Twingo R Pass. Priced at £100, it offers priority access to ordering, plus exclusive benefits including a miniature Twingo, a unique green Renault key cover, and a dedicated concierge service, with purchasers among the first to receive exclusive updates on the all-electric new model.

The Twingo E-Tech electric R Pass can be purchased online here.

Renault Twingo E-Tech electric is designed to be a true game-changer in the A-segment, bringing a cheerful personality and compact city-friendly footprint together with modern electric technology.

Targeting a starting price below £20,000, it aims to make electric mobility more accessible than ever, while offering a WLTP range of up to 163 miles from its LFP battery and a lively 60kW electric motor. Twingo E-Tech electric also introduces features typically seen in larger segments, including One Pedal driving and the availability of OpenR Link with Google built-in, helping make daily driving in and around cities even easier and more enjoyable.
