  • Polestar 3 receives Best in Class award as safest Executive Car of 2025 by independent body Euro NCAP
  • Flagship SUV previously achieved a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating, setting new standards for child occupant protection
  • Third model in brand’s line-up with top safety honours from Euro NCAP

GOTHENBURG, SWEDEN – 14 January 2026. Polestar 3 has been awarded Euro NCAP’s Best in Class award for safest Executive Car of 2025, reinforcing its position as a safety benchmark in its class. This accolade affirms Polestar’s commitment to protecting occupants and road users through cutting-edge engineering and advanced safety technologies.

This award follows the April 2025 announcement when Polestar 3 achieved a five-star Euro NCAP rating and 87% score overall in the then latest round of safety tests. The brand’s flagship SUV impressed with remarkable scores of 90% for adult occupant protection, 93% for child occupant protection – at that point the highest score of any passenger car tested by Euro NCAP in the past nine years – 79% for vulnerable road users, and 83% for safety assist.

At the time, Euro NCAP praised Polestar 3 for setting “a new standard for child safety”, with performance “tantalisingly close to a perfect score.” This achievement underscores Polestar’s dedication to safety as an integral part of its performance ethos.

Gerry Yang, Polestar CTO, says: “Safety is a central part of our DNA thanks to our close collaboration with Volvo Cars. Polestar 3 incorporates among the latest advanced structural innovations and advanced driver assistance systems, which all played a part in delivering the exceptional test results we have seen here.”

Ends.

Notes to editors

The Best in Class award is presented annually by Euro NCAP to the top-performing vehicles in each category, based on their overall safety scores across four key areas: Adult Occupant, Child Occupant, Vulnerable Road Users, and Safety Assist. Polestar 3’s exceptional results in these tests secured its place as the safest Executive Car of 2025.
