Stuttgart/London. Ahead of the Laver Cup 2026 in London, Mercedes‑Benz and tennis legend Roger Federer are continuing their joint social commitment through the Neon Legacy Initiative. Following projects in London, Vancouver, Berlin and San Francisco, this year’s focus is on providing direct support with tennis equipment. Through the Laver Cup Organization, Mercedes‑Benz and Roger Federer are donating 11,478 tennis balls to local tennis clubs and social initiatives in the British capital – one for every ace of Roger Federer’s career. The goal of the joint initiative is to promote sport within the community and enable easier access for children and young people to play tennis while inspiring the next generation of tennis players.
“Tennis has been such an important part of my life, and I’ve always loved seeing people discover the sport for the first time. Together with Mercedes‑Benz and the Neon Legacy Initiative, I hope we can encourage more young people to get on court, have fun and develop their own love for the game.”
Roger Federer, 20-time Grand Slam winner
“What makes Roger truly special is how effortlessly he brings together excellence and authenticity, values that are at the heart of who we are. That is why this partnership is so meaningful to us. Together, we want to make tennis more accessible and inspire the next generation of players through our joint Neon Legacy Initiative.”
Christina Schenck, Vice President Digital & Communications and Investor Relations, Mercedes‑Benz AG
