KGM Motors UK is proud to announce that the KGM Musso EV has been awarded the Product Design 2026 title at the internationally renowned Red Dot Design Awards 2026.

Widely regarded as one of the world’s most prestigious design competitions, the Red Dot Design Awards celebrate excellence across a broad range of industries. Judged by an independent panel of around 40-international experts, the awards recognise products that demonstrate exceptional innovation, functionality and design quality.

The Musso EV stands out in a highly competitive field of global entries, earning recognition for its bold styling, practical versatility and advanced electric vehicle architecture.

Award-winning design for modern pick-up customers
The Musso EV, which is already on sale in the UK, delivers a balanced approach to pick-up design - combining rugged capability with everyday usability and modern electric innovation.

At 5.16-metres in length, the fully electric pick-up is built on a dedicated EV platform and features a double cab layout for up to five occupants, offering a level of comfort and refinement more commonly associated with passenger cars.

Despite its focus on comfort, Musso EV retains the practicality expected of a working vehicle. Its load bed measures 1.35 x 1.52 metres, providing 1,049 litres of load capacity and the ability to accommodate a Euro pallet, making it equally suited to business and lifestyle use.

Strong performance with zero emissions
Musso EV combines emissions-free driving with impressive capability and performance:

• All-wheel drive with dual motors producing 175 kW (238 hp)
• Towing capacity of 2.3 tonnes
• 80.6 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery
• Up to 290-miles city driving range
• 10–80% rapid charging in approximately 31-minutes (120 kW DC)

This ensures Musso EV delivers the versatility and dependability expected from a KGM pick-up, while embracing the benefits of electrification.

Winning a Red Dot Award marks a significant achievement for KGM and underlines the brand’s commitment to progressive design and future mobility. The recognition also highlights the growing importance of the Musso EV within the UK market, where it offers a compelling combination of affordability, capability and the lowest Benefit-in-Kind taxation for business users at just 4% for fiscal year 2026/2027.

KG Mobility (formerly SsangYong Motor Company) is a Korean car manufacturer specialising in 4x4s, SUVs, MPVs and pick-up trucks.
