KGM Motors UK joins forces with the Red Arrows as Official Passenger Vehicle Partner

KGM Motors UK is delighted to announce its appointment as Official Passenger Vehicle Partner to the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows. This prestigious partnership aligns KGM Motors UK with one of the UK’s most iconic and globally recognised symbols of excellence.

As part of the agreement, KGM Motors UK will supply a fleet of award-winning Rexton SUVs, complemented by the all-new Actyon Hybrid, to support the Red Arrows’ extensive programme of more than 60-displays each year. The vehicles will facilitate the seamless movement of personnel, equipment and essential kit between locations, underpinning the team’s ability to represent the Royal Air Force with precision, agility and excellence across the UK and further afield.

A true British institution, the Red Arrows have captivated audiences since 1965 and remain a highlight of the summer events calendar. Renowned for their trademark formation manoeuvres and world-class precision flying, the team serves as the public face of the Royal Air Force—promoting the best of British aviation at major national occasions, community airshows and international events, while also supporting Armed Forces recruitment.

Squadron Leader Doug Smith, the Red Arrows Chief of Staff, said: “Our display season involves significant planning and constant movement, and reliable vehicles play an important part in keeping the team on schedule. Based at RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire, the team comprises highly skilled pilots, engineers and support staff with frontline operational experience. Flying the distinctive Hawk fast-jet, the Red Arrows inspire millions of people every year through dynamic displays, colourful flypasts and ground engagement events.

ROYAL AIRFORCE AEROBATIC TEAM
Officially known as the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows showcase the excellence of the RAF and represent the UK both at home and overseas. The team consists of pilots and support personnel. Each of the pilots has previous fast-jet, operational experience on the frontline, enabling the RAF to secure the skies and protect the nation and its interests. One of the world’s premier aerobatic teams, the Red Arrows have completed nearly 5,000 displays, in 57 countries, since 1965.

The distribution rights for KGM Motors UK were acquired by Bassadone Automotive Group in 2011. KGM Motors UK operates as the official importer of KG Mobility vehicles, parts, and accessories in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. KGM Motors UK rebranded from SsangYong Motors UK in January 2024 and has undergone a dramatic transformation. It has a strong growth strategy, with a firm focus on excellent customer service, value for money automotive solutions and the expansion of an evenly spread dealer network to 80-strong in 2025.
