KGM Motors UK, formerly SsangYong, has secured a significant corporate fleet order with Inspiring Vet Care, the UK’s largest network of veterinary practices, for all-electric Musso EV pick-ups as the veterinary healthcare group continues to transition towards a lower-emission fleet.

Inspiring Vet Care’s network comprises more than 900 veterinary practices alongside hospital, referral, farm and equine operations, supported by approximately 15,000 colleagues. The group combines locally delivered veterinary care with continued investment in clinical standards, professional development, facilities and innovation.

The fleet will be funded by Novuna Vehicle Solutions and converted by West Midlands-based specialist Gearmate to meet Inspiring Vet Care’s operational requirements, with the first vehicles delivered during October.

The Musso EV provides a practical solution for a fleet operating across a wide variety of locations and environments. Its 80.6kWh battery delivers up to 240 miles of WLTP range, while full-time all-wheel drive, 207 PS and 339 Nm of torque provide assured performance both on and off road. A payload of up to 690kg and 2.3-tonne braked towing capacity add further flexibility for carrying equipment and supporting operational requirements.

Its five-seat double-cab configuration combines pick-up practicality with SUV-style comfort, while self-levelling rear suspension helps maintain stability as loads change. Vehicle-to-load technology also allows compatible electrical equipment to be powered directly from the vehicle, adding further versatility for mobile and remote working.

The Musso EV fleet also supports Inspiring Vet Care’s wider sustainability strategy. Through its Positive Pawprint programme, the group is working towards net zero, with the transition to hybrid and electric fleet vehicles forming part of its approach to reducing emissions from its operations.

Each vehicle will undergo specialist conversion by Gearmate before entering service, providing modular and bespoke storage solutions for commercial fleets and pick-ups, allowing the vehicles to be configured around Inspiring Vet Care’s specific operational requirements.

Lee Corrigan, Head of Fleet UK and Ireland at Inspiring Vet Care, said, “Our fleet operates across a wide range of environments, so it is essential that the vehicles we choose combine practicality, reliability and capability.

“The Musso EV gives us the versatility of a pick-up with the benefits of an electric powertrain, while its all-wheel drive, towing capacity, practical load bed and comfortable cabin make it well suited to our operational requirements.

“This order also supports our wider ambition to progressively reduce the environmental impact of our fleet while ensuring every vehicle remains fit for purpose. We are looking forward to seeing the Musso EVs enter service.”

Alongside the Musso EV fleet, Inspiring Vet Care has also ordered the KGM Rexton Commercial, which will undergo specialist conversion by Gearmate. The two-seat car-derived van offers a 2,200-litre load area, a payload of more than 700kg, selectable four-wheel drive with low range and up to 3.5 tonnes of towing capacity, providing an additional option for duties requiring greater load space or heavier towing capability.

Alex Warren, National Fleet Sales Manager at KGM Motors UK, said, “We are delighted that Inspiring Vet Care has chosen KGM to support its evolving fleet requirements. This Musso EV fleet order demonstrates how electric pick-ups can provide a credible and capable solution for organisations that need versatility without compromising their electrification ambitions.

“Musso EV combines up to 240 miles of range with full-time all-wheel drive, 2.3-tonne towing capacity, a practical load bed and a comfortable five-seat cabin, giving fleet operators a vehicle capable of fulfilling a wide range of roles.

“The additional Rexton Commercial order also demonstrates the breadth of KGM’s corporate offering. Fleet requirements are rarely one-size-fits-all, and our combination of electric and diesel commercial vehicles enables us to support customers with different operational demands.”

The Musso EV is priced from £39,995 including VAT and the £5,000 Plug-in Van Grant. For fleet and company vehicle users, it also benefits from a 4% Benefit-in-Kind rate for 2026/27, with personal tax costs from approximately £30 per month for a 20% taxpayer.
