  • Fermanagh-based Isuzu dealer, Monaghan Bros, teamed up with the Western Health and Social Care Trust to provide festive joy to families in the local community.
  • In the dealership’s first year coordinating the charity initiative, over 1,000 toys were received from the appeal.
  • Monaghan Bros has gone the extra mile this Christmas, following its exceptional involvement in additional community projects.

Isuzu UK is proud to share that Lisnaskea dealer, Monaghan Bros, launched its first Christmas toy appeal, amassing over 1,000 toys, vouchers, games, and other gifts.

Converting its showroom into a festive wonderland, Monaghan Bros displayed three Isuzu D-Max pick-ups brimming with toys, with many more dotted around the dealership.

The dealership received donations of toys and cash, which was used to purchase gift cards to be distributed to families as well. The Lisnaskea Credit Union arrived at the showroom with bags of toys, clothes, and biscuits as a particularly generous contribution to the cause.

To realise the ambitious goals of the appeal, Monaghan Bros teamed up with the Western Health and Social Care Trust’s Gateway and Family Intervention Team to support families in need. The trust distributed the overwhelming number of toys across the community, making a monumental impact on children and young people in County Fermanagh.

Director at Monaghan Bros, John Armitage, said: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the kindness of local people. Seeing the community come together to support families at Christmas is truly heartwarming and we’re especially proud to play a part in making the season brighter for those who need it most.”

Locality Planning Officer for Women and Children’s services at the Western Trust, DR Priscilla Magee, added: “Thank you so much to everyone who generously supported this huge toy appeal. Your kindness is very much appreciated and will help bring some Christmas magic to families in the Fermanagh area. On behalf of family and childcare staff, I would like to wish everyone a very Happy Christmas and peaceful New Year.”

Monaghan Bros, established in 1957, holds its core values of trust, reliability, and community service. Since joining the Isuzu dealer networking in 2022, the dealership has been an exceptional ambassador of the brand in the local community. Its local involvement spans from supporting schools, charities, and sports teams.
