Powys-based Isuzu dealer, David Taylor Garages (DTG), was proud to participate in Wear It Pink Day on the 24th October 2025. The annual event, introduced by Breast Cancer Now, aims to raise critical awareness and funding for breast cancer research and provide support for those affected.
DTG has gone all-out for its Wear It Pink Day campaign this year, with all staff sporting pink outfits and engaging with its local community to help raise money for the cause.
The dealer hosted a drawing and colouring competition involving two local schools (Llangattock CIW Primary School and Llangynidr Community Primary School), as well as teaming up with its local garden centre to run a special DTG Wear It Pink Day auction. DTG offered participants the opportunity to bid for various entries from a set of road tyres to a golf day or even a fitting pair of pink wellies.
Additionally, the Isuzu dealer launched a special one-off D-Max V-Cross, wrapped in a pink finish and heavily accessorised with wheel arch extensions, bonnet and window deflectors, Mountain Top roller, sports bars, BF Goodrich all-terrain tyres, wireless charger, and Lazer lights.
The bold ‘Pink-Up’ was launched by DTG on Instagram on Wear It Pink Day, raising awareness with its unmistakable and head-turning appearance. As part of the dealer’s campaign, the vehicle will be toured around various local businesses and events, including both the schools and the garden centre.
Office Manager at David Taylor Garages, Katherine Pollard, said: “After years of wanting to get involved in Wear It Pink Day, we are thrilled to be launching our exciting campaign this year to raise crucial funding for breast cancer research. We felt that we had to go big, so we made no compromises in making this the largest and pinkest event possible. The Isuzu ‘Pink-Up’ is sure to turn plenty of heads as we take it across Powys and beyond over the next few weeks, as we continue to raise awareness for this fantastic cause.”
Regional Sales Manager at Isuzu UK, Graham Joll, added: “It really has been a one-of-a-kind campaign that David Taylor Garages have put on. The D-Max looks spectacular in its pink wrap and is sure to get plenty of attention, whether it be on the road or at any of the events it is attending. Full credit to the team at David Taylor Garages for making such a positive noise about this year’s Wear It Pink Day!”
David Taylor Garages, founded by its namesake in 1970, has been a stalwart in the dealer network since 1987. DTG is actively involved in promoting community involvement within its dealership, serving as the main sponsor of Crickhowell Rugby Club, as well as sponsoring Llangynidr Football Club.
In 1988, Dealer Principal and son of the founder Gene Taylor, together with his brother Scott and a travel journalist, drove from John O’Groats to Land’s End in an Isuzu Trooper in what is believed to be the first ever time a 4x4 did this trip and to raise money for charity.
