- Weybridge Isuzu has agreed a deal with Banstead Commons over the sale of an Isuzu D-Max pick-up.
- The single-cab D-Max Utility will increase efficiency in critical conservation work across the much-loved landscapes.
- Funding was supported by the Mayor of the Borough of Reigate and Banstead.
Weybridge Isuzu is pleased to announce that Banstead Commons has selected an Isuzu D-Max as the pick-up of choice to support conservation and maintenance work across its public open spaces.
The trusted Isuzu D-Max was the vehicle of choice for the conservation team, who manage 1350 acres (550 hectares) of open green spaces and are comprised of four separate areas: Banstead Heath, Banstead Downs, Park Downs and Burgh Heath.
The team purchased the D-Max after receiving funding from the Reigate & Banstead CIL Local Fund, supported by the Mayor of the Borough of Reigate and Banstead. To mark the occasion, the Mayor was present to hand over the keys to the conservation team.
With its 1-tonne payload and 3.5-tonne towing capacity, the Isuzu D-Max is well equipped to support the Banstead Commons team in maintaining and enhancing these much-loved landscapes more efficiently.
Opting for the single-cab Utility configuration, Banstead Commons further optimised its D-Max with a load liner, towbar, BF Goodrich all-terrain tyres, and a tonneau cover. The pick-up was finished with the conservation team’s unique signage to complement its work-ready presence.
General Manager at Banstead Commons, Lucy Shea, said: “Weybridge Isuzu did a fantastic job preparing our new Isuzu D-Max. We are thrilled to be starting this new vehicle’s journey in caring for our public open spaces, which means a great deal for our local community. A massive thank you to the Mayor of the Borough of Reigate and Banstead and the Reigate & Banstead CIL Local Fund for enabling us to purchase this smart new vehicle to support our conservation work across Banstead Commons.”
Brand Manager at Weybridge Isuzu, Jack Tapping, said: “It was a pleasure to work with Banstead Commons for its first-ever purchase of an Isuzu D-Max, and we look forward to supporting them through their journey with anything they need. Having previously supplied pick-ups to Surrey Wildlife Trust and Yorkshire Wildlife Trust, we are very familiar with supporting organisations looking for capable conservation and maintenance vehicles. We wish the team many happy miles as they put their new D-Max through its paces on the commons.”
Weybridge Vehicle Consultants has been in business since 2000 and is marking its sixth year as an Isuzu dealer, establishing strong local relationships in the process. In recent years, the dealership has delivered fleet solutions to multiple local and national organisations, including British Airways, Surrey Wildlife Trust, and Yorkshire Wildlife Trust.
