  • Following its appearance at the Paris Motor Show, Multiplina further develops FIAT’s vision for the future of micromobility, exploring the space between Topolino and a conventional passenger car.
  • Inspired by the ingenious 1956 FIAT 600 Multipla, Multiplina reinterprets its people-first philosophy through intelligent packaging, compact dimensions and maximum use of space.
  • At just 3.04 metres long, Multiplina accommodates four occupants within a fully electric L7 heavy quadricycle architecture.
  • The concept explores a new mobility space, the Multi-Purpose Quadricycle, combining four-seat practicality with the simplicity and accessibility of a quadricycle.
  • Designed around real everyday needs, Multiplina embodies FIAT’s approach to mobility: doing more with less.

From Paris, a small concept with a big idea

At the Paris Motor Show, Fiat Multiplay took centre stage with its 3-in-1 interpretation of family mobility. Alongside it, Multiplina attracted attention with a different approach to the future of mobility. Together, the two concepts explored new possibilities for versatility and freedom of use, each from a different perspective.

While Multiplay explores how one vehicle can adapt to different needs, Multiplina focuses on maximising space and everyday usability within an ultra-compact footprint. Conceived as the missing link between Topolino and a conventional passenger car, it combines four-seat practicality, compact dimensions and fully electric mobility.

FIAT had already introduced this vision in June, positioning Multiplina within its broader micromobility ecosystem alongside Topolino and TRIS.

A legacy of ingenious mobility

Multiplina draws inspiration from one of the most ingenious cars in FIAT’s history: the 1956 Fiat 600 Multipla.

The connection is not about recreating the past, but about bringing its original philosophy into the present: maximising space and usability within minimal dimensions. The original 600 Multipla accommodated six people in just 3.5 metres; Multiplina reinterprets the same people-first thinking in a new mobility context.

The connection can also be seen in its design, from the forward-positioned windscreen and two-tone bodywork to the front “moustache” and rear air-vent treatment, all reinterpreted with a contemporary FIAT approach.

Four seats. Just over three metres

At 3.04 metres long, 1.40 metres wide and 1.53 metres high, Multiplina accommodates four occupants in an ultra-compact footprint.

Its fully electric L7 heavy quadricycle architecture allows Multiplina to explore a mobility space between Topolino and a conventional car: more space and versatility than an ultra-compact urban vehicle, while retaining the simplicity and compactness of a quadricycle.

Designed around commuting, school runs, errands and short everyday journeys, the concept explores what FIAT calls the Multi-Purpose Quadricycle: four-seat practicality in approximately three metres.

Doing more with less

Multiplina reflects a simple principle: using less to deliver what people actually need.

Compact dimensions, low weight and intelligent use of space reduce the need for materials and resources while preserving everyday usability. Electrification is therefore only one part of the story: Multiplina explores a broader idea of sustainable mobility based on simplicity and resource efficiency.

It is an approach deeply rooted in FIAT’s DNA: making mobility simpler, smarter and more accessible, while finding ingenious solutions to everyday needs.
