Maranello, 22 April – After a dramatic and action-packed opening round, the 2026 F1 Sim Racing Championship returns to the virtual track with Event 2, taking place today and tomorrow at Formula 1’s Media & Technology Centre in Biggin Hill: a new chapter in a season that promises excitement, a great show, and decisive moments in the title race.

Consistency and ambition – Following the opening round of the season at DreamHack Birmingham, the championship now really gets going with three more races on the iconic circuits of Jeddah, Barcelona, and Silverstone. The format is well-established featuring tight qualifying sessions and races run over 50% of the real distance, where the slightest detail can make the difference.
For the Scuderia Ferrari HP Esports Team, the aim is clear: build momentum and consistency in a short but extremely competitive season

Fahssi on a charge, Evans looking to fight back – The spotlight is on Ismael Fahssi, who has made constant progress with a strong start to the season. After finishing P6 in the Chinese Grand Prix and second in Japan, the Spanish driver confirmed his potential by securing pole position in Bahrain, although he finished the race in P10 due to a series of setbacks, even though he showed plenty of promise for the rest of the championship.
On the other sim rig, John Evans is looking to bounce back after a challenging opening phase. The difficulties he faced in the first three races do not reflect his true potential, and Event 2 represents a crucial opportunity to turn things around and fight for points once again.

Two home races, a key moment – With three rounds squeezed into two days, Event 2 could already shape the balance of the championship. Spain’s Ismael Fahssi and Britain’s John Evans might enjoy a slight advantage as they each have a home race on the agenda, as they aim to build on the positives from Event 1 and relaunch their title ambitions with renewed determination.

The three Event 2 races will be streamed live on Formula 1’s official YouTube channel, with all updates available on the @FerrariEsports social media accounts.
