Miami, 2 May 2026 – It’s time for qualifying for the Miami Grand Prix at the Miami International Autodrome, where the air temperature is 34 degrees and the track is at 52.

Q1. For this first part, Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton take to the track on used Soft tyres, with which they set times of 1’29”436 and 1’29”510 respectively. They pit for fuel and adjustments, going back out on the same sets of tyres. They both improve, the Monegasque to 1’28”938, the Englishman to 1’29”483.

Q2. In the second phase, the SF-26s are fitted with new Soft tyres. Hamilton laps in 1’28”477, Leclerc in 1’28”542. They then take on new Softs for a second run: Charles improves with a 1’28”315, while Lewis’ best time is still his first.

Q3. New sets of Softs again for the Scuderia Ferrari HP drivers: on his first run, Charles posts a 1’28”143, which puts him provisionally second, while Lewis goes fifth with a 1’28”376. They pit and go again with another new set of Softs: Leclerc, like several others, fails to improve, while Hamilton goes just slightly quicker with a 1’28”319, but he drops to sixth. Max Verstappen then also improves, which pushes Charles down to third place.
