Spa-Francorchamps, 9 May 2026 - The number 21 Ferrari 296 LMGT3 Evo crew of official driver Alessio Rovera, François Hériau and Simon Mann crossed the line first in the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, only to be classified fourth following a five-second penalty applied in the closing minutes of the race. The sister car, number 54, shared by fellow official driver Davide Rigon, Thomas Flohr and Francesco Castellacci, finished 15th.
Starting from the third row, Hériau immediately gained positions to move into podium contention, keeping up a strong pace throughout his double stint. Simon Mann took over at mid-race, delivering a blistering pace to power his way into the lead and hold it until handing over to Alessio Rovera. The Italian driver defended the lead with a succession of fast laps despite several safety car periods that bunched up the field, eventually crossing the line with an advantage of just under one second. A five-second penalty for a pit-stop infringement, however, dropped the car to fourth in the final standings.
The number 54 crew finished 15th, one lap down, after recovering from the back of the grid.
The number 21 crew moves on to 20 points and fifth place in the championship standings, while the number 54 remains at zero.
The next FIA WEC round is the 24 Hours of Le Mans on 13–14 June, preceded by the official test day on Sunday 7 June.
