Maranello, 10 April 2026 - Known the world over for hosting one edition of the Italian Grand Prix (1980), 26 of the San Marino GP (1981-2006), one of the Emilia-Romagna GP (2020) and four of the Made in Italy and Emilia-Romagna Formula 1 Grands Prix (2021-22, 2024-25), the Italian circuit has also welcomed several endurance races over the decades. These include the Imola 500 Kilometres, which in 1972 produced a Ferrari one-two with the 312 PB: Arturo Merzario won the Italian Sports Championship race, which comprised two heats plus the final, ahead of Jacky Ickx.

Imola hosted a round of the World SportsCar Championship over 1000 kilometres in 1984. In more recent years, the Italian circuit has welcomed several 6-hour races as part of various championships, including the European Le Mans Series, which featured Ferrari cars derived from production models.

The FIA WEC arrived on the Imola circuit for the first time in 2024 and returned again the following year, when 65,504 attendees were recorded over the race weekend. In 2025, a Ferrari climbed the top step of the podium, the official 499P number 51 of Pier Guidi-Calado-Giovinazzi, completing a perfect weekend also marked by pole position. Fourth was the number 83 of AF Corse, while the second official Ferrari finished the 6 Hours of Imola in fifteenth position.

The attendance record at Imola was set in 2024, with 73,600 spectators.
