A THANK YOU TO THE CITY OF ROME AND AN OPPORTUNITY OPEN TO ALL TO DISCOVER THE NEW FERRARI LUCE
Maranello, May 26, 2026 – The Vela di Calatrava served as an exceptional stage for the world première of the Ferrari Luce, attended by international clients and guests. In this futuristic space, for the first time in its history, the Prancing Horse will present a new model at an event open to the general public, conceived as a tribute to the city.
On Saturday, May 30, visitors will be able to take part in a journey of discovery around the Ferrari Luce. This immersive experience – free of charge and supported by the State Property Agency and the Municipality of Rome – will begin with an exhibition of the car’s technological and design components, followed by in-depth sessions exploring its unique features. At the end of their visit, participants will also be able to admire other iconic models from Ferrari’s history up close. Adding further atmosphere to the event, light shows will illuminate the building’s striking architecture.
Redeveloped and made accessible in just two years by the State Property Agency, following last July’s Jubilee of Youth, the Vela di Calatrava has firmly established itself as a venue for major international events. Today, thanks to the collaboration between the State Property Agency, the Municipality of Rome, and the Lazio Region, the site is at the centre of a broader development project that integrates research and education, well-being, sports, and leisure, while also enhancing green spaces, biodiversity, and sustainable mobility.
This event reflects the deep connection between Ferrari and Rome – a bond that dates back to May 25, 1947, when driver Franco Cortese secured the marque's first victory in the city. Over the years, this bond has been enriched by significant initiatives for the local community, including scholarships for the Opera Theatre, whose students performed at the world première. Most recently, last November, Ferrari together with Save the Children opened an educational space at the Giuliano da Sangallo Institute in Ostia Ponente, in collaboration with the Municipality of Rome’s Department for Major Events, Sport, Tourism, and Fashion.
With Ferrari Luce opening a new chapter for the brand, this shared experience becomes another expression of Ferrari's closeness to the people of Rome, and to enthusiasts of the Prancing Horse worldwide.
