Maranello, 22 April 2026 - From 24 to 26 April, the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Japan arrives at the Okayama International Circuit. Over the same weekend, the Mugello International Circuit will also host Round 2 of the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli Europe series, making it a particularly significant moment in the season of the Prancing Horse one-make series. Following the opening round at Suzuka, 32 cars are ready to take to the track for the weekend.
Trofeo Pirelli.
In the Trofeo Pirelli class, the spotlight burns bright on Akihiro Tsuzuki (Auto Speciale), who dominated the season opener at Suzuka in late March with a flawless double victory. Lining up against him is Motohiko Isozaki (Cornes Shiba), the reigning Trofeo Pirelli Am champion, now stepping into the top class with clear intent. Their duel promises to set the tone for the entire weekend.
Once again, the Trofeo Pirelli Am class delivers fierce and unpredictable competition, with seven drivers on the grid. “Yamatatsu” (Cornes Osaka), winner of Race 1 at Suzuka, and Motohiro Kotani (Auto Cavallino), who claimed Race 2, lead a field where uncertainty is the only constant, echoing last season’s remarkable tally of six different winners.
Coppa Shell.
Five cars will fight for supremacy in Coppa Shell. “Kenbow” (Cornes Shiba) arrives as the benchmark after converting two pole positions into victories. Yet all eyes are also on “Alex Fox” (Yanase Fiorano Motori), last year’s Coppa Shell Am champion, who showcased impressive pace at Okayama in 2025 with two podium finishes and is ready to challenge for the top step.
The largest and most fiercely contested grid belongs to Coppa Shell Am, with 18 entries. Following a commanding double win at Suzuka, “Z. Falcon” (Cornes Nagoya) has moved across to Trofeo Pirelli Am, leaving Liang Chen Yu (Rosso Scuderia) as the current championship leader. After finishing fourth at Okayama last season, he now targets a decisive performance to strengthen his position at the top.
Across all four classes, the weekend at Okayama is set to deliver competitive racing and further shape the championship battle as the season progresses
All races will be broadcast live via streaming on Ferrari’s official YouTube channel and on live.ferrari.com.
