Norwegian technology company reports strong growth in established European markets and is building a local sales and partner network in Southern Europe following early customer demand.

Stavanger, Norway, 27th October 2026 – Norwegian technology company Easee is expanding its commercial presence in Southern Europe following customer demand for its smart EV charging technology in Spain, Portugal and Italy.

More than 1,000 Easee chargers have already been installed across the three countries, despite the company not yet having an established commercial operation in the region. Easee is now strengthening its local sales presence and building partnerships with installers and distributors to support further growth.

The expansion follows a period of strong financial performance. During the first nine months of 2026, Easee increased revenue by 33% to NOK 835.8 million (€79.8m / £66.9m), while charger sales rose 47%. Adjusted EBITDA nearly quadrupled to approximately NOK 122 million (€11.6m / £9.7m), with the adjusted EBITDA margin improving from around 5% to 14.5%.

Growth in established markets supports expansion

Easee has also recorded substantial growth in some of Europe's largest EV charging markets.

In Benelux, hardware revenue increased by 86%, while charger sales more than doubled. In Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH), revenue increased by 26% to just under NOK 200 million.

Together, Benelux and DACH accounted for approximately 44% of Easee’s revenue during the period.

Øyvind Stavland Osjord, CEO of Easee, said: “Europe's charging market is growing, but it's also becoming more competitive. We've focused on building a business that can grow profitably, and that's now giving us a stronger foundation to expand into new markets.”

Southern Europe presents a different charging challenge

The opportunity in Southern Europe is not simply about selling more chargers. In markets such as Spain, where many residents live in apartment buildings with shared parking facilities, installing EV charging can be complicated by limited electrical capacity.

Adding multiple charging points to an existing installation can require costly electrical upgrades unless the available power is managed effectively.

Easee's charging technology uses dynamic load balancing to distribute available electrical capacity between chargers, helping residential and commercial sites accommodate more EVs without necessarily increasing their grid connection.

Spain's National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan (PNIEC) sets a target of 5.5 million electrified vehicles by 2030, highlighting the scale of charging infrastructure needed as the country transitions towards electric mobility.

For Easee, the initial demand in Southern Europe came in part from existing customers in Northern Europe seeking installations at holiday properties in Spain, Portugal and Italy. That demand helped demonstrate an opportunity before the company established a dedicated local commercial presence.

Osjord continued: “We started seeing demand in Southern Europe before we had built a sales organisation there. That tells us something about the potential. Now the job is to build the local relationships and installer network needed to serve those markets properly.”

With more than 1.1 million chargers installed across Europe, Easee is building on an established technology platform as it develops its presence in new markets.

Adjusted EBITDA excludes one-off costs associated with Easee's change of ownership, when Brødrene Jensen and AWC became the company's new owners.
