04 November 2026 DENZA, the premium technology-oriented automotive brand of the BYD Group, is set to present two of its latest cars at Automotive Management Live 2026.
Held at the NEC, Birmingham on 11th November 2026, the one-day event brings together dealers, OEMs, and suppliers to share knowledge, discover solutions, and unlock opportunities for growth.
DENZA will be represented by two models, which will be on display at the AM Showroom. With the BAO 5 SUV and the Z9 GT shooting brake, DENZA will showcase both state-of-the-art Super Hybrid DMO and fully electric powertrains.
The Z9 GT will make its debut at the show, and it becomes the first model available to order in the UK that features game-changing FLASH Charging technology. Through the latest iteration of BYD Group’s Blade Battery 2.0, the Z9 GT will be able to charge from 10% to 70% in just five minutes at one of the 300 FLASH Charging locations that will be rolled out nationwide over the next 12 months. FLASH Charging is the perfect match for the Z9 GT’s long-distance credentials, boosted further by its opulent cabin comfort, a range of 372 miles*, and a three-motor configuration that delivers 1156PS and 1210Nm of torque, for a zero to 62 mph time of only 2.7 seconds.
The cabin is equipped to the highest level of specification and comfort. Front and rear seats feature heating, ventilation and massage functionality, a refrigeration compartment can cool its contents to as low as -6°C, while exceptional levels of sound deadening not only deliver superb refinement at all speeds but also ensures that occupants can appreciate the full potential of the 20-speaker, 1150W sound system from Devialet.
The BAO 5, meanwhile, offers versatility in its powertrain – regardless of the driving environment. As the first DENZA to use the Super Hybrid DMO technology, the BAO 5 can travel up to 56 miles on electricity alone and up to 537 miles on a full tank of petrol and a full charge. In addition, its electric motors, combined with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, deliver 544PS and 760Nm, yet also deliver the precision and control to tackle the most challenging terrain, whether rock crawling or driving through sand dunes. Both BAO 5 variants feature leather upholstery as standard, while the top-level Ultimate grade adds Nappa-grade leather for an even more sumptuous feel.
In addition to the cars, the BYD Group will be represented among the expert panels in the forum theatres to discuss key topics in the automotive industry. Steve Beattie, Deputy Country Manager for BYD UK, will be part of a panel discussing ‘EVs and hybrids – how you can better help private buyers pick their next car’. The discussion will take place on 11th November at 11:05 in Theatre 2.
