Classic Car Reviews launches as trusted new guide for enthusiasts

  • Built on more than 30 years of automotive and online experience

  • Launches with 500+ reviews and buying guides and 2250+ free market valuations

  • Tools include Market Tracker, Owner Reviews, Compare Classics and ‘Ask Keith’

Classic Car Reviews officially launches today (4 November) as a new independent resource designed to make buying, selling, valuing and owning a classic car simpler.

Created by automotive journalist and historian Keith Adams, the site combines more than 30 years of automotive experience with expert reviews and buying guides, free market valuations, auction intelligence and real-world owner experiences.

Classic Car Reviews is launched officially today following several months of development and soft launch. It already contains more than 500 reviews and buying guides, 2250 market valuations and 22,500 auction results. Its aim is simple: to give classic-car buyers, sellers, owners and enthusiasts the information and tools they need to make better decisions.

The health of Britain's historic-vehicle movement has never been better, and the launch comes with this very much in the foreground. The Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs' 2025 National Historic Vehicle Survey valued the sector at £7.3 billion a year, with 1.93 million registered historic vehicles, around 2700 specialist businesses and 34,500 jobs.

Keith Adams, Founder and Editor of Classic Car Reviews, said: ‘There is an amazing amount of knowledge in the classic-car world, and the site is about bringing as much of that expertise as possible together in one place and making it simple to use. Whether you're deciding which classic to buy, researching one or simply wondering what you might buy next, I want CCR to be the trusted guide that helps takes the anxiety away from classic cars for enthusiasts of all age and experience.’

Everything you need in one place

Classic Car Reviews has been built around the way enthusiasts actually research cars. Someone might arrive looking at a particular model, read its review and buying guide, check its current market value and see recent auction results. From there they can compare alternatives, explore related cars and read the experiences of people who have actually owned them. They may arrive looking for one car and leave having discovered several more.

Key features include:

  • 500+ reviews and buying guides, covering traditional, modern and future classics

  • 2250+ free market valuations, continually reviewed against current market intelligence

  • Market Tracker, combining auction results, comparable vehicles, trends, and market values

  • 22,500+ auction results, showing the prices cars have actually achieved

  • Owner Reviews, giving enthusiasts a place to share real-world ownership experiences

  • Compare Classics, putting different cars side-by-side

  • Ask Keith, offering direct advice on buying, selling, valuations, choosing a classic, ownership and even importing one from overseas. All questions are answered.

CCR's market values, Market Tracker data and research tools are all free to access. Values are continually reviewed using auction results, dealer and private asking prices, specialist knowledge, owner feedback and long-term study of the market.

Keith said: ‘If you're selling a car, you want to understand why it's worth what it is, and if you're buying, you want to know whether the asking price makes sense. Every car we cover plugs into the Market Tracker, so the review, valuation and market evidence are part of the same research journey.’

A changing definition of ‘classic’

CCR deliberately covers a broad spectrum of enthusiast cars, categorising them as legends, classics, modern classics and future classics. Age alone does not decide whether a car belongs on the site. Interest, significance, character and enthusiast following matter too.

Keith said: ‘The definition of a classic is constantly moving. Some cars feel like classics almost from the moment they're launched, while others take decades to percolate.

‘We're also seeing a generational change in the market – cars once described as modern classics are becoming mainstream, while another generation is coming up behind them. The boundaries are shifting, and buyers need good information to navigate that.’

Built from experience

Classic Car Reviews was built entirely by Keith, following more than two decades working professionally in automotive editorial and more than 30 years of buying, selling, owning and researching cars.

His career has included stints at Kelsey Media, Dennis Publishing, Honest John and Bauer Media. He also created AROnline in 2001 as an enthusiast website covering Austin Rover, British Leyland, BMC and their associated marques.

Keith added: ‘I've spent a large part of my career helping people choose, buy and own cars. The classic market needs a trusted, practical resource, and Classic Car Reviews is my answer to that. The aim is to give people enough information and context to choose the right car, pay the right price and enjoy owning it.’
