Starting today, the Alfa Romeo Driving Academy, powered by Scuderia de Adamich, marks a new chapter in one of the longest-running collaborations in the world of high-performance driving. Established in 1991, the partnership between Alfa Romeo and Scuderia de Adamich combines the Biscione brand’s sporting DNA with the technical expertise of Scuderia de Adamich, to deliver a wide range of exclusive driving experiences for individuals and companies at the circuit at the Varano de' Melegari racetrack. The programme features the full Alfa Romeo line-up from the Junior sports compact and Tonale C-SUV to the Giulia high-performance saloon and Stelvio D-SUV.

The Alfa Romeo Driving Academy is part of a broader strategy to enhance the value of Motor Valley, long recognised as underpinning Italian manufacturing excellence where engineering, craftsmanship and passion for performance come together to create distinctive experiences. In November 2025, the region also gave rise to BOTTEGAFUORISERIE, a project dedicated to personalisation, design research and performance, combining the excellence of Alfa Romeo and Maserati to shape the future of bespoke driving.

Likewise, Scuderia de Adamich – a founding member of the Motor Valley – continues to play an active role in the area’s development through its ongoing commitment to training, innovation and technology, whilst promoting the values of excellence and tradition that have defined the country for over a century.

The Alfa Romeo Driving Academy offers four levels of driving experience, designed for drivers of all skill levels. The programme begins with Safe Driving, the foundation of all the courses, focused on improving responsiveness and handling critical situations with confidence. It continues with Advanced, to deepen vehicle knowledge and safely extend driving limits. Sports Driving delivers a high-intensity experience to explores the car’s dynamic capabilities. Advanced Driving is reserved for those seeking to refine their driving technique to the highest level.

Each course provides a fully immersive experience that combines sportiness and safety, while showcasing the range of powertrains in the Alfa Romeo line-up, including 100% electric, hybrid, turbo petrol and turbo diesel powertrains. The Driving Academy programmes give participants the opportunity to learn how to ‘feel’ the grip of the tyres, the balance of the chassis and, above all, to fully experience the human-machine connection that defines Alfa Romeo.

The Academy also offers tailored corporate experiences, from driver training programmes to team-building activities, designed around specific client needs and delivered through fully customisable formats.

Founded by renowned Formula 1 Andrea de Adamich, winner of the Nürburgring 1000 km and long associated with Alfa Romeo, both on and off the track. A pioneer of safe sports driving training in Italy – Scuderia de Adamich serves as a true benchmark in the European landscape of safe, high-performance driving.

Headquartered at the Varano de' Melegari racetrack near Parma, the Scuderia operates a technical, engaging track designed to challenge drivers of all levels. All programmes are conducted under the supervision of professional driver-Instructors – among the most experienced in the field, with careers spanning both circuit racing and rallying. Over time, Scuderia has developed a strong international presence, delivering programmes  in over 35 countries and expanding globally with the establishment of the Scuderia de Adamich USA Ltd. in 2018.

Santo Ficili, Alfa Romeo CEO, stated: “Alfa Romeos are made to be driven with visceral passion on the track or on everyday roads: this is the vocation for driving emotion we have carried in our DNA since 1910. The aim of the Alfa Romeo Driving Academy is to offer the opportunity to experience this essence in full, because performance with limited self-awareness remains mere speed. Together with the Scuderia de Adamich, we conversely turn it into an experience of absolute control and great fun.”

Gordon de Adamich, Scuderia de Adamich, added: “Our story began in 1991 with the International Safe Driving Centre, the brainchild of the great driver Andrea de Adamich to continue his collaboration with Alfa Romeo outside of racing. Taking on the role of Alfa Romeo Driving Academy after 35 years of partnership serves as acknowledgment of the values that unite our organizations: passion, safety, technology, and sportiness. Whatever objectives participants in the Academy's Courses and Experiences may set themselves, whether to improve their driving safety or to master sports driving techniques, pushing an Alfa Romeo to its limits in the safe environs of a racetrack is an experience definitely worth having!”
