  • Alfa Romeo sees growth in commercial results in several countries: sales increased in the United Kingdom by 24%, in Japan by 95% with the entire Asia region up by 50%, while in Mexico the arrival of Junior pushed registrations to grow over 90%
  • Italy, France and Germany are once again the top three markets for Alfa Romeo, which now maintains a presence in 70 countries around the world
  • The Alfa Romeo Junior compact sports car, marketed in 45 countries, is the best-selling model in the line-up, followed by Tonale, Stelvio and Giulia
  • The few-off Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa, produced in just 10 exclusive units, sold out in record time, while deliveries for the 33 Stradale were made in Europe and the United States during the first half of the year
  • An intense six months saw the brand taking part in activities and events including the brand debut of BOTTEGAFUORISERIE in Paris, the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympics and the 44th 1000 Miglia to the celebrations of 75 years of collaboration with the Carabinieri, to the participation in the spectacular Preliminary Regatta Sardinia, won by Luna Rossa, and the 50th anniversary celebrations at the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese

In the first half of 2026, Alfa Romeo continued its journey to strengthen the brand internationally, supported by the commercial success of the new Junior, expansion into new markets and an intense schedule of activities involving customers, enthusiasts and the media around the world.

In a particularly competitive market context, the brand has recorded positive results in several countries. In Europe, sales grew in the United Kingdom (+24%) and Austria (+0.3%), while Italy, France and Germany have been confirmed as the brand's three main markets. Alfa Romeo also grew by 50% in Asia, driven by exceptional performance in Japan, where registrations almost doubled (+95%). The contribution of Mexico (+90%) was also positive, a market in which the debut of the Junior enabled the brand to strengthen its commercial presence and win over new customers.

The true star of H1 was the Alfa Romeo Junior, now marketed in 45 countries and already established as the brand's best-selling model. Available with hybrid and electric powertrains, it recorded a BEV mix of 16%, confirming the brand's ability to intercept new mobility needs without sacrificing its sporty identity. The Junior also continues its international expansion with its debut in new markets such as Mexico, Singapore and Taiwan, to contribute to the expansion of the brand's global presence, which now covers 70 countries around the world.

Close behind the Junior are the Tonale, Stelvio and Giulia, fundamental pillars of the Alfa Romeo line-up. In particular, the new Tonale stands out for its engine offering, created to meet varying requirements in the main international markets: the preferred engine is the 160hp 1.5-litre hybrid, followed by the 130hp 1.6-litre diesel. Appreciation of the high-performance versions also continues: the Giulia and Stelvio, due to remain on sale until 2027, have recorded a share of the top-of-the-range Quadrifoglio versions that represent approximately 7% of the overall mix.

The 10 exclusive units of the Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa sold out almost immediately, as did all 33-units of the new 33 Stradale, with deliveries to customers across Europe and the United States continuing according to the delivery schedule. Developed under the BOTTEGAFUORISERIE programme, both few-off models showcase the expertise of Alfa Romeo in the high-performance segment, combining exceptional design, quality and innovation.

“The first half of 2026 confirms the strength of the journey embarked on by Alfa Romeo,” stated Santo Ficili, Alfa Romeo and Maserati CEO. “The success of the Junior, the growth recorded in key markets, achievements by our special series and the exceptional interest in the 33 Stradale and the Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa demonstrate the brand's ability to attract new customers while remaining faithful to its values. We continue to build the brand’s future by leveraging what makes us unique: Italian design, innovation, sportiness and an authentic connection with our global community. As well as the commercial results, for which I thank the entire Alfa Romeo team, our customers and our sales network, the first half of the year featured intense communication and engagement activities, demonstrating our status as a true ‘love brand’ that can overcome geographical, cultural and generational boundaries."

Six months of major international events: sportiness, passion, and heritage

Alfa Romeo began 2026 at the Brussels Motor Show 2026, with the world premiere of the exclusive Giulia Quadrifoglio Luna Rossa. A few weeks later, the model was showcased once again at the Ultimate Supercar Garage in Paris, where BOTTEGAFUORISERIE – the new creative project that combines the excellence of Alfa Romeo and Maserati – made its debut with its first dedicated stand. The Biscione brand continued its journey at the 2026 New York Motor Show in early April, where it reaffirmed its global presence at one of the longest-running and most cutting-edge automotive events.

Sportiness remains a defining value for Alfa Romeo, reflected in a series of high-profile initiatives in the first half of 2026. In February, the brand became the Automotive Premium Partner of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic, supporting the event with a dedicated programme for the Alfisti, who were welcomed to the Alfa Romeo Museum before being taken to the venues for the opening ceremony and Olympic events.

This was followed by the launch of the Alfa Romeo Driving Academy, renewing the long-standing collaboration between Alfa Romeo and Scuderia de Adamich.

June saw Alfa Romeo triumph once again at the legendary 1000 Miglia, claiming victory with the 1931 Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 Gran Sport #61, further reinforcing the brand’s technical and sporting excellence. Also competing was the 1956 Alfa Romeo 1900 Super Sprint from the Heritage Hub Italy collection, a model normally displayed at the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese.

Alfa Romeo was a leading name at Preliminary Regatta Sardinia, the opening event of the Louis Vuitton 38th America's Cup, held in May in the Golfo degli Angeli in Cagliari. The sailing meet marked the beginning of the Road to Naples 2027, with the Alfa Romeo motorhome touring Italy and Europe to accompany enthusiasts on the journey towards the America’s Cup in Naples.

In early July, Alfa Romeo reinforced its sailing credentials as Official Automotive Partner of Foiling Week, the leading international event for the foiling community, confirming the close relationship between the brand and the world of high-performance boating.

Alfa Romeo continued to celebrate its rich heritage throughout the first half of 2026, with the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese serving as the focal point for many of the brand’s key events. In May, the Museum hosted the launch of the book ‘Carabinieri and Alfa Romeo – for Italy’ alongside the unveiling of the commemorative logo celebrating of 75 years of institutional collaboration with the Carabinieri.

On 21 June, on a day full of emotions and pride, the Museum brought together enthusiasts from different generations, cultures and countries for a day of celebration that reflected the enduring passion and deep connection shared by the global Alfisti community. The event marked two significant milestones: the 116th anniversary of Alfa Romeo, founded in Milan in 1910 and which has become a global icon of motoring, and the 50th anniversary of the Museum which continues to preserve the brand’s heritage, iconic models, and motorsport achievements.

The first half of 2026 also saw the Biscione community commemorate the 150th anniversary of the birth of its founder, Nicola Romeo, as well as the 60th anniversary of the iconic ‘Duetto’ Spider, a model that remains one of the most beloved among Alfisti around the world.
