Building on more than a decade of participation at the New York International Auto Show, Alfa Romeo once again took centre stage at the 2026 show held from 3 to 12 April, reinforcing its position on the global automotive stage.
For 124 years, the New York Auto Show has offered a glimpse into the future of mobility, establishing itself as one of the most prestigious and long-standing events in the global automotive calendar. Within this iconic setting, Alfa Romeo presented a line-up embodying the brand’s DNA: a distinctive synthesis of Italian design, technological innovation and unmistakable driving dynamics.
At the heart of the stand were the new Tonale and the Stelvio, each expressing the commitment of Alfa Romeo to combining timeless beauty with cutting-edge engineering, delivering an authentic and emotional driving experience.
The spotlight was on the new Tonale, which elevates the presence of Alfa Romeo in the premium compact SUV segment. Designed to embody the Alfa Romeo philosophy of ‘necessary beauty’, Tonale features functional design that reflects the thrilling performance within. With a more commanding road presence and a wider track, it introduces a bold, redesigned front fascia highlighted by a concave scudetto grille inspired by the iconic 33 Stradale.
Under the bonnet, the new Tonale is powered by a technologically advanced 2.0-litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine delivering 268hp and 400Nm of torque paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission and standard Q4 all-wheel drive, ensuring dynamic performance in all conditions.
Stelvio continues to stand as a benchmark of the sporty spirit of Alfa Romeo. Driven by advanced technology and Italian design excellence, the performance‑focused SUV delivers a balanced, engaging and refined driving experience. Powered by a 2.0‑litre turbocharged inline four-cylinder engine producing 280hp and 414Nm of torque, Stelvio sets the standard for driving pleasure in its segment. Together with Giulia, Stelvio will remain available through 2027.
